Zidane and his buds had just received a final blow from TranceKuja. Zidane stood up and found himself to be the only one conscious.
A voice taunted him saying something about the zero world where nothing exists and that the time for the zero world to come about was here.
Some of the dude's lines you may recognise. Such as:
"Fear leads to anger; anger leads to hate; hate leads to suffering."
Zidane defied those words and chose the warriors who would help him defeat this evil.
(beginning solo to Power of Love)
A great magic floor takes them so that they are eye level with Necron. They wield their weapons.
There comes a time when you face the toughest of fights
Searchin for a sign lost in the darkness of nights
Zidane: ::I know we can do this. We have to. For our world.::

They are blown back by a Grand Cross attack. Totally knocking out Eiko. Dagger watches as her friend,

Zidane used his Ultima Weapon to do some serious damage while Steiner pulled out his Minus Strike which also did something significant. And Dagger also gave Eiko a phoenix down and used Curaga on the entire party.
Blazing emotion There's a light that flows from the heart
They were hit with some sort of ring attack which sent both Dagger and Eiko flying to ground KOed. But Steiner and Zidane were sent into Trance mode.
It's a chain reaction And nothing will keep us apart
Zidane: Looks like it's up to us Rusty! We don't have anymore phoenix downs.
Steiner: Yes, but I shall not give up. We must fight. For the sake of Gaea.
Zidane: You know, I'm glad for once that you're on my side.
