The thief grinned as the cool evening breeze swept through her black waist-length hair. Brushing the final crumbs of a picnic dinner from her favorite black and green jumpsuit, she pulled on her night-vision goggles, and checked that her rappelling winch was securely fastened one last time. She surveyed her surroundings, and reflected that there were very few things better than a peaceful summer evening on top of World Diamond's New York headquarters.
'Scratch that. There's not much better than jumping off of World Diamond HQ.' She grinned as she hurtled towards the glassphalt below. The rooftop winch slowed her descent, until she was hanging motionless outside the window of the ninety-third floor. She leisurely attached a suction clamp to the closest window, clipped it onto her cable, and proceeded to melt the bolts that held the totally bulletproof, cutter-proof, heat resistant glass panel to the building. The window fell, and was caught by the suction cup.
This task accomplished, she unclipped herself from the cable, grabbed the windowsill, and swung herself inside the building. She landed in a crouch, took a can of spray from a hidden pocket in her jumpsuit, and thoroughly misted the dark room, to detect any hidden infra-red laser traps.
However, the spray revealed no infra-red, which somewhat surprised the thief. She straightened up, and peered around the room, searching.
Her search was abruptly ended when the lights flipped on.
Shielding her eyes from the sudden glare, she dropped into a fighting stance, expecting police, security, or even...
"Hey there."
Shego's upper lip curled into a sneer. "Hello, Princess."
