Just something small to let you guys know I'm still alive. Threads is still in the works, but I have made no progress and I think I lost the document for chapter 3 after 90 days of ignorance. Sorry! Anyways, a small drabble to let off some steam from a frustrating group project.
Shade couldn't keep his eyes off the bluenette as she pranced around the outdoor mall strip. Her hair flowed around her like a waterfall, her eyes sparkling as she stared at the various objects in the window. He had a hard time keeping himself from pulling her into an embrace, just so he could hide her from the eyes of others. Boy was he selfish.
"Shade!" She suddenly called out to him, grabbing his attention. "Concentrate! We're looking for a gift for your sister, remember?" He stared at her, suddenly remembering their goal.
"Weren't you just oogling all the jewelry in this store?" He asked condescendingly as he thumbed the store behind them. She pouted and twirled away from him.
"I could have been looking for stuff for Milky! You don't know!" She huffed. Shade let out a small smile before catching up to her.
"I think you're well aware that Milky is more interested in dinner than a couple of shiny decorations." He replied. Rein shot him a small glare, but didn't say anything, knowing he was right.
"It would have been nice if we got her something different you know..." She mumbled. Shade laughed. She was so cute. "What?"
"You're too adorable." He said bluntly. In the blink of an eye, her face turned completely red and she ran to the nearest store and crouched on the ground. Shade knew this was her attempt at cooling down and always thought it funny to see.
"Bully! You're a bully!" Rein cried. He approached her and pulled her cheek. "Bully." He loved to tease her.
"You know I love you right." He said as he took her hand and pulled her up. She kept her head down from embarrassment, fidgeting as she began to notice the eyes that stared at them as they walked.
"I love you too..." She mumbled.
"What?" Shade said, pretending not to hear. He leaned closer, holding a hand to his ear as he pretended to get better sound.
Suddenly, she kissed his cheek, catching him completely off guard, and shouted, "I love you too, dummy!" before running off. Shade was left in shock as women giggled at him as they passed by and men chuckled.
"She never cuts me some slack does she?" He said as he covered his face with his hand, hiding a pleased smile and his red face. He followed after her, hoping he could pay her pack with a real kiss.
Yeah. Really short am I right? All or nothing after all. Hope you guys are willing to wait another eternity for Threads to update. I'm considering doing a massive update. All the chapters in one go. I know you've all been waiting so long, but oh well.
