Disclaimer: Saban and Disney's, not mine

Notes: Takes place after the Wild Force crossover, spoilers apply. And this is the last part in the Light series, the series that I did not mean to happen (which probably explains a lot about the quality). This is the last one (unless I decide to write another one). I do recommend you read 'Morning Light', 'Starlight', and 'Candlelight' at least, so you'll have an idea of what's going on. Also-- this fic has some slashy undertones (Max X Danny), but not any further than what you saw on Wild Force.

They knew they would have to return to 3001 as soon as the loose ends of the Mut-Orgs case had been tied up, so Katie and Trip were trying to make every moment of their time left in 2002 count. Tonight, they were out bowling with their new friends, Danny Delgado and Max Cooper. Katie watched from the snack bar as Max bowled another strike. Danny started to pat him on the back, but it quickly turned into a hug. She couldn't help but smile at how much affection the two had for each other. Must be nice, not worrying about tomorrow.

"Something wrong, Katie?" Trip looked up from his extra cheesy nachos and jumbo-sized soda.

"Nah, I'm fine. I'm just thinking about how Danny and Max should just get married already." It wasn't until Trip's face fell that she realized that maybe she should've thought before she spoke.

"Y'know, like how we're getting married really soon and all," she added a little too quickly.

He frowned, playing with his drink's straw. "After everything we've been through, choosing a date should be easy."

Trip was right, of course. They probably would have by now, if it weren't for little things like work and family. And the differences in their cultures. And going back in time again, only this time with Ransik and Nadira in tow to help stop a menace that had made them, at their worst, look like petty thieves. But at some point, they were just going to have to throw all that to the wind and get it over with already.

"... Why not now?"

He nearly choked on a nacho. "B-but--"

"No, think about it. All of our friends are here. Wes is here. We could always have another ceremony back home if we need to. This may be our only chance to have most of these people at our wedding, Trip."

She took his hand. "That is, if you still want to marry me."

The smile he gave her was all the reassurance she needed. Now she just had to tell everyone the news...

Max waved to her. "Katie, I beat my record!"

"That's great; I'm getting married tomorrow!"

The Surging Shark pouted. "She just had to one-up me, didn't she?"

It had been an hour since he had kissed the bride, but Trip was still having trouble believing that it had finally happened. A wedding officiated by the Princess of Animaria probably wouldn't be considered binding by anyone else anywhere, but they did, and that was what mattered.

From his seat next to Katie, he watched his friends celebrate, the sunlight dancing off of them as they did so. Lucas was dipping Nadira, while Max showed off his dance moves (again). Ransik was speaking quietly to Princess Shayla and Merrick. Their reception was turning into another picnic, and that was just fine with him.

"I was wondering if you were in the mood for some cake?" Katie pushed a plate in his direction.

Trip smiled at his wife. "I am pretty hungry." He paused suddenly, eyes wide with concern. "Jen didn't make this, did she?"

"No, Alyssa did. She said it was her wedding gift to us."

He let out a sigh of relief. "Then yes, please."

Katie took a forkful a cake and held it in front of him, grinning mischievously. "Now say ahh..."
