Meerub: don't kill me! I was procrastinating. I'll continue my other book, I swear!

Neah: tsk, tsk. You should be ashamed of yourself!

Allen: the longer you hold this up, the longer it will take…

Mana: ON WITH THE DISCLAIMER! *deeps breath* MEERUB DOES NOT OWN D. GRAY-MAN.

Neah: *rubs his ear* Geez, Mana. Not so loud

Failed hug

Blah blah blah= thought

Blah blah blah= normal

Mana was having a horrible day. Horrible. First, he burned his hand making some coffee for Neah. Then, he tripped walking down the stairs. Then the door slammed shut on his foot. Cross made a mess in the living room. Allen accidentally threw a dictionary at him while throwing books at Cross. He ran out of sugar for his pastries. To top it all off, his favorite shirt was ruined.

All in all, it was a horrible day. Absolutely horrible. Neah had gone out for a while to go shopping so Mana was home with an idiot (Cross) and a book worm (Allen).

Mana was not happy. Very much not happy. Depressed. Dispirited. Gloomy. Unhappy. . (insert more synonyms).

He wished Neah was home. Neah had a talent for making a situation less depressing. In fact, Mana really wanted to hug Neah. Right NOW.

Mana waited for Neah to come home. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited… not long after, an hour had passed and Neah had still to come home. Cross and Allen had already left a while ago and Katrina was at a party that went late into the night. So, Mana was all alone, waiting for Neah. Just a while longer Mana thought.

God must have heard Mana because the door had opened as soon as Mana thought that.

Mana rushed down the long corridor and saw Neah putting his coat away, groceries at his feet.

"NEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Neah, expecting Mana's hug, opened his arm only to have Mana tackle him to the ground and bump his head against Neah's. Before Mana knew it, a little drop of blood fell from his forehead.

Looking at Neah's head, Mana saw that Neah didn't even have a bump in his head where he hit Neah. He does have a thick skull after all.

Neah smiled, looking at his brother, "Bleeding isn't good for you." Neah informed Mana "Let's go get it cleaned up."

Pushing Mana off, Neah got up and took Mana to the bathroom and got some disinfectant. Dabbing a bit on a cotton ball, he put it on the small cut that Mana had gotten.

"You should really be more careful you know. You know how easily you get sick. You don't want to be stuck in bed all day again, do you?"

"No, but in my defense, I was waiting for you a long time"

Neah smiled, patting Mana's head. "Just be careful next time"

Well, Mana thought at least today wasn't that bad.
