All I could do was watch. Watch as they tore through the station. A lone tear streaked down my emotionless face. The infected tore through children and adults alike and there was nothing I could do. You expect us too be better off on this side of the door. Well this wasn't the case, we soon heard a ear piercing scream erupted from nearby. We all turned in absolute terror as a yutani scientist collapsed in agony holding their chest. I rushed to help them but I was too late as a strange worm like creature burst from their chest while making an unholy screech. It basically leaped from the hole in their chest. The scientists last words were "save the others on LV-426".
We quickly bolted down to the old hangar far from the monsters that were once called humans and the weird worm creature. When we approached the hangar doors. There was a strange black substance covering the door. I quickly tried to break through the goo how I came to call it. A marine tried to break through as well. "Shoot, It's sealed shut!" The other one responded "well looks like we're going around." We trekked down dark winding corridors that stood like a massive labyrinth. As we progressed deeper into the darkness we stumbled upon a door. We prepared for the worst as one marine opened the door yet nothing came.
The room was dark enough to be daunting but bright enough to read "Emergency armory / safe room." The marines flicked on head lights as they searched the room. I tripped on a item and slammed my head on a edge of a locker. Once I stood up holding my head a light flickered on revealing astronaut gear hanging neatly on a rack along other suits. One marine rushed forward and started putting on the gear from a nearby locker. The other marine and I soon joined in the the gear equipping process. The first marine already fully suited walked towards the exit and the abruptly. He slowly looked upwards calmly and that quickly changed to screaming and gunfire as a black creature emerged from the ceiling. Screeching as the marines pumped that thing full of lead.
Green fluid burst from the creature and landed on the nearest marine, who burst into screams of agony as the liquid melted through his gear. We were to late as all that was left, was bone and burning flesh. I picked up his rifle as well as his dog tags and continued the race for survival. The last Marine and I moved through the darkened halls in a brisk pace. We heard screams but we knew there was nothing we could do. We encountered a tunnel shrouded by pure darkness. I don't know what we were thinking as we walked into the shadowed tunnel. We flipped on are suits head lights as we trekked deeper. I heard a scream and then everything went black.
I awoke surrounded by the goo. I quickly tried to break free but the "goo" was more resilient than I expected. Lucky it broke with but more struggling I landed on solid ground. There was a strange feeling through out my entire body like I was growing and shedding, strange. When I turned I saw the marine struggling nearby. Then I noticed his face drain color to a sickly pale. He barely spoke "I just got a transmission, there dropping the I.E.E's" ( incendiary electric explosive.) I started the race to get him down but his raspy voice pleaded " go... live, I'm ready to die." "Bu..." no run they're coming."
I bolted towards the light . The star of the system shined in glory as I broke to the surface of the "moon". That was the last thing I saw as the fire consumed me.
A/N Hey should check out the femme ArriezGlitch she helped me with editing p.s I'm open to suggestions.
