Coming Home chapter 1

a shugo chara story

I fell asleep on the train ride home. The sunrise was stretching across the tree line of the train station and the jolt of the stop woke me up. I put on my sunglasses so they wouldn't recognize me as I got off. They would scream my name over and over like at the late night concerts I had been performing lately. I stood up and so did 3 other men. "Oh, not again." I muttered and ran off, walking fast down the street and slinging my bag over my shoulder. They followed me walking almost at my pace. I whirled around and a scythe elongated from my bag. They all backed up a little. "Why don't you go back where you came from." I slammed the scythe on the concrete and they shrank back into small black eggs and flew away snickering. I twirled my weapon and it too shrank back into my bag. I breathed in deeply. Maybe I should explain. My name is Satsuki Luna. I grew up in this town before joining Easter and becoming famous in another country. I had to come back to go through high school and stay with my aunt. It would be nice to see all my old friends, if I stayed alive that long. I came upon my aunt's house and came through the gate and knocking on the door. My older cousin, Kyou, answered the door with a pancake hanging out of his mouth. He looked me up and down. "Murmf." He nodded in approval and let me in. "Kyou! I'm sorry, Suki, we have to hurry and get you ready for school!" my aunt looked like a mess but then again I'm used to people looking like they had plastic surgery every week. She rushed me up the stairs to my room and threw the uniform at me. A black dress similar to the one my manager used.

"Well that certainly is ugly." A small voice came from behind me and my chara flew around me.

"Shut up, Rin!" My other chara squeaked. Rin was my chara for a tortured heart and he was rather mean and Sen was my chara for a best friend and was sickeningly nice.

"Both of you shut up." I muttered and pulled the uniform on and went downstairs, stuffing both of my charas into my school bag and putting my sunglasses on.

"Its overcast, dumbshit." Kyou muttered. I ignored him and went out the door. A mo ped rode past and nearly lifted my dress up. "Sorry!" the boy riding it shouted. I fixed my hair and continued on. People were more considerate in elementary school. I finally reached my school and stared in awe. Okay it was big when I was little but this was ridiculous. "Watch out!" a flash and someone bumped into me and we were both on the floor. "Fuck, watch it you-" she looked up and her eyes grew wide. I flashed back to fifth grade being dragged from my friends, the girl in the middle waving goodbye sadly. "Ayumi…?" I choked. "DammitDammitDammit!" she squeaked and got up and ran away. "Wait!" I shouted. But she kept running. "Hey you need some help?" a boy stood above me. I noticed my sunglasses were down. He took one look at me and laughed. "Never thought I'd be saying those words to Satsuki Luna again."

I Flashbacked again, the boy to the far left crying to his mom with the slap mark across his cheek. "Mikhail the crybaby…" I whispered.

"And to think I got rid of that name when you left now get up." He helped me up. I looked in the direction Ayumi ran in. that's right he was a few years behind us! Her little brother! "hey what's wrong with-"

"She hasn't been quite right since you left. Going out late at night, talking to herself, getting in fights. She didn't even answer any of your calls because she said the cat would get her!" he sighed.

I blew hair out of my eyes. I have bigger problems to face.

Rin snickered in my bag. "This will be fun."
