To everyone that saw them, they were made for each other. She was his matesprit and he was hers. Hands intertwined, they were always found in each other's arms or in close proximity. No one ever doubted their flushed feelings for one another. Their relationship could be a pure definition of what a matespritship was meant to be. When she smiled, so did he. They could talk for hours and never tire of it. He would take her face in his hands and kiss her lips softly and she returned the gesture. Simple touches, long embraces, light kisses. When she gazed into his eyes, there was utter love and devotion to him. When he glanced at her, there was a certain expression that only she was given. Two souls that were meant to be together.

Shattered.

She bounced into his arms and hugged him tightly, taking in his scent. His hands combed through her hair, briefly touching her horns. She let out a soft sigh before her lips found his, passionately kissing him. They both loved the touch and the feelings of one another. They knew each other's bodies as well as their own. She closed her eyes and he moved his lips to her head, pressing them into her mane. Two trolls caught in each other's embrace, a love so strong that it was easily shattered by one event.

So terrible and so awful.

Their bodies were wrapped in each other when they fell asleep. She felt safe in his arms, warm. He adored having her small body against his but that didn't stop the nightmare from coming. It didn't stop and the dream terrified him. So utterly dreadful and horrid that the instant he woke up, a frightful sound escaped his lips. A sound that was so terrible and so awful, that it nearly intimidated the Vast Honk itself, that his beloved went completely deaf by the sound.

Retribution.

She could no longer hear and he was responsible. She didn't blame him; he blamed himself. Soothing as she was, he couldn't look at her as he had before. Not in the same loving way because of what he did to her, what pain he caused her. He didn't deserve her any more. She tried to tell him otherwise; he didn't listen. That was when he took a solemn vow, a vow of silence. This vow resulted in him unable to speak, literally, by sewing his mouth shut. She didn't like that. He saw it as retribution.

HONK

She was happily 'chatting' with him before she offered him the cod piece. She was easily taken over by him and he didn't feel bad. Using her to a means of an end, it didn't bother him. Not when the messiahs was involved. Soon, he would show all of those foolish heretics how wrong they truly were. Though she was ignorant of the whole situation at hand, she still loved to talk to him. She would sometimes wonder why she would be in one place when she knew that she hadn't been there before.

HONK

He knew that she would understand this in the end. He would show her.

Not sure I am I happy with this. I liked the beginning but then I slowly started to just BS it at the end. Sorry about that.
Regardless! I had to do this after I read the update. I do love the pairing of Meulin and Kurloz.

And sorry for how sucky the ending. I just had to get this out. Leave a review to tell me how I did?
