Disclaimer: I don't own Hellsing and, considering the amount of music I'm connecting it to, this fact might be a good thing.
"Rosie's Lullaby" belongs to Norah Jones. Damn…I don't own anything! Lol…
She walked by the ocean
and waited for a star
to carry her away
feeling so small
at the bottom of the world
looking up to god.
A crisp October night breeze mussed the platinum blond hair of a small twelve-year-old child. She sits with her head down, showing little confidence in herself. If one were to look hard enough, one would even see a few glimmering tears hit the grass beneath her. As she shivered in the frigid night air, she wondered what would happen if she died. Would anyone even care? She glared up at he sky, anger overcoming her small form.
"WHY?!?" she yelled in what she wanted to be a loud call. It came out in a rasp whisper instead. She hated how pathetic she was and continually cursed herself for existing in the first place.
She tries to take deep breaths
to smell the salty sea
as it moves over her feet.
The water pulls so strong
and no one is around.
She wanted death, almost welcomed it. She didn't want this avid horror to be her future. It would be so easy. No one knew where she was, if they even cared anyway. A different side of her took over as she got to her feet and began to walk the property. It wasn't long until she found the large pond about twenty yards from the garden she had been in merely seconds ago. She knew how to swim, but she also knew that icy water could put someone in shock.
The moon is looking down
saying
"Rosie, come with me.
Close your eyes and dream."
She doesn't bother to remove her clothes. What would it matter if she were dead? Testing the water with her toes, she decided it was cold enough. Before she could change her mind, she plunged her body into the frigid black waters. Just as she suspected, she could barely breathe, much less swim.
The big ships are rolling
and lighting up the night
and she calls out, but they just her pass by.
The waves are crashing
but not making a sound.
She felt the warmth slipping from her, and she suddenly wondered if it was too late to change her mind. She desperately tried to keep her head above water and call out to no one. It only took her a short time to realize no sound was coming from her mouth. She couldn't feel her body anymore as she began to relax and give in to the waters.
Just mouthing along
saying
"Rosie, come with me.
Close your eyes and dream.
Close your eyes and dream.
Close your eyes and dream.
The last thing she remembered seeing was a flash of black and crimson. After that, everything went blank. When she came to shortly later, she saw with shock that had saved her life. He may have been a fairly new face, but from that moment on she never questioned him again.
"Thank you…Alucard…"
