"After spending almost two years constantly fucking with the heads of fictional teenagers, I figured it would be fitting to go out with a Freddy Krueger reference."

Nobody expected the cute redhead with the pigtails to be an axe murderer. The three of them didn't even notice her pulling the weapon out of her jacket before she planted it in the center of Seven's unsuspecting spine. The sounds of Clover's devilish giggling and Seven's dying screams alerted Santa and June to turn around, but they were too late. Clover had already plucked the bloodied axe out of her first victim and was lining up another swing toward Santa's torso. He dropped to the floor faster than Scatman Crothers at a Jack Nicholson convention.
June pleaded for mercy with all of her heart. She wasn't begging for her own life, but instead tried desperately to bring Clover back to senses. She kept asking Clover how she could go as far as to butcher her "friends," as if the answer wasn't obvious. Santa and Seven were the ones who murdered her brother, and they no longer deserved to live. Vengeance was enough to drive any young girl insane.
Clover never intended to kill June. At least, not at first. She had nothing to do with Snake's death. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But Clover changed her mind when June suddenly became physical and tried to twist the axe out of her hands.
The deadly game of tug of war ended with Clover stepping around June and winding up at her back, locking her in an clumsy headlock. Clover then drew the blade of her axe across her opponent's throat to silence her squealing. June's struggling combined with the axe's awkward shape sent the blade sweeping through her neck like a guillotine, turning what should have been a simple slit across the throat into a brutal killing stroke any executioner would be proud of. June's body slumped to the floor while her decapitated head remained in the nook of Clover's arm.
Clover shuddered in mild discomfort when she turned June's head to towards her. The look of sheer horror frozen on the girl's face was enough to send chills through anyone, even the hopelessly deranged. Clover didn't let it bother her for too long, though. She had to keep going for her brother's sake. She casually tossed the head aside and continued on her way.
"Serves ya right, bitch."
She looted the bracelets from the three corpses and stepped back in the elevator. 3, 6, and 7: She had everything she needed to escape the ship and live on in Snake's memory, but the incident with June had convinced her to be more careful. Someone could still try to stop her.
Junpei was still waiting for her in the hall, oblivious to the fact she still had an axe up her sleeve. He asked her where the others were once he realized she was alone, and she responded by gleefully showing him the three bracelets. He didn't take the news well.
Junpei spent the next few minutes at Clover's feet in a whimpering wreck. She would have taken pity on him if she didn't know his suffering would come to a sweet, merciful end in a few more seconds. She patted him on the shoulder to calm him down, to help him lower his guard. All she had to do was tell him everything would be okay again once they escaped this nightmare together. He finally gave in (or maybe gave up), took her hand...
And set himself up for an axe to the throat. He was always silly like that.
"Thanks, Junpei. I'm just gonna borrow this, 'kay?"
She took the number 5 bracelet from his wrist while it was still warm. Placing it in her pocket with her other curious trinkets, she skipped on her merry way toward Door 9. She was finally going to be free. Snake would be proud.
