"I'd make a bath," Kurda says, on the topic of what else he'd do if he became a prince, "with warm water and everything. Despite what most say, I know for a fact that they would all appreciate a nice warm soak after the trek up here in winter."

"That's a great idea!" Darren exclaims readily, not really caring how Mr. Crepsley may respond. "I really would love one. I'm sick of either being dirty or frozen. With you in charge, I can be clean and warm!"

"Exactly! Besides, we really need to move into the current world. Which, as it happens, involves running, warm water," Kurda explains, glad that someone likes his idea. He then notices Larten's frown. "What do you think, Larten?"

"What about the few female vampires?" Larten asks, a small, almost unnoticeable blush covering his cheeks. "Do you think they would enjoy bathing in this communal bath with the males? It is not as if you could put one in every private room. Besides, I approve of our bathing habits the way they are."

"Ooh!" Kurda exclaims, understanding. He was a bit confused by Larten's statement about female vampires, thinking that they could handle themselves, but now he knows the real trouble. "You're just jealous of other males seeing Arra… fully." Larten blushes fully, and Kurda bursts out laughing, along with a much louder Gavner who'd been watching quietly for a while. Darren looks confused, but snickers at seeing Mr. Crepsley blush.

"I am not!" Larten states indignantly, seeming to realize how childish he sounded directly after saying it.

"Are too!" Kurda and Gavner chorus. They look at each other oddly for a moment before turning back to Larten. Darren, still confused, merely sits and observes, hoping to understand soon.

"I. Am. Not," Larten growls, and then mutters something under his breath that only a full vampire's ears could pick up. Kurda flushes and turns bright red while Gavner merely grins, as is his nature. Darren, noticing the exchange but not hearing what was said, gets even more confused.

"What? What'd I miss?" Darren asks, beginning to get annoyed with the lack of information on his side. Larten and Gavner chuckle as Kurda flushes again and bows his head in embarrassment.

"You don't want to know," Gavner warns, still grinning at Kurda. Larten nods.

"No, I want to!" Darren exclaims, determined. Gavner looks at Larten, asking silently. Larten nods slightly, smirking a little. With a sigh, Gavner leans in closer to Darren.

"Larten suggested that Kurda might be projecting his longings onto others instead of facing them himself," Gavner explains, but Darren is still confused.

"What's so bad about that?" he asks. Gavner grins again.

"Apparently, Kurda wants to see me in the buff, Darren," Gavner explains simply, making sure that he understands. Darren's eyes widen and he stares at Kurda, who's head shoots up directly after Gavner says that.

"Do not!" Kurda exclaims, still heavily flushed. Larten, after trying to hold it in, finally gives in a lets out a huge roar of laughter. After a few moments of shocked silence, all but Kurda join in. Kurda pouts, but then smirks and wonders what the reaction would be if he mentioned something about Darren liking Larten…
