A/N: hello readers! good news, i'm officially on summer break! that means more stories heading your way! this is a quick little one-shot i wrote a while ago and found again. hope you like it!

"Hey, you agreed to this! The least you can do is keep up!" Pacifica shouted behind her shoulder at a struggling Dipper, carrying a bag almost the size of his whole body.

Dipper sighed and rolled his eyes. Why had he agreed to this? The now, sixteen year old, never expected to be walking up the tallest hill in Gravity Falls with Pacifica Northwest. Let alone to go stargazing with her.

It all started when the boy took a long walk in the woods, he had gone for peace of mind. Although Dipper loved his sister dearly, her loud voice and personality could give him a headache from time to time. That's when he noticed her.

Pacifica was never the type of person you would see admiring nature, but there the teen was watching the stars. Her face lit up with joy until Dipper made the wrong move and snapped a trig causing her to whip her head over to him.

She was angry at first, calling him a creep and a stalker, but then he invited her to his spot for watching the stars. Dipper still doesn't know why he told her about it, no doubt she would steal the golden spot and claim it as hers, but he thought, maybe she needs it more than he does.

Pacifica's ponytail bounced as she walked up the hill as Dipper was silently regretting his actions earlier. They finally reached the top of the hill just has the sky began to darken.

Dipper laid out a blanket while Pacifica set up the old Mystery Shack telescope. "This thing is a piece of junk." She remarked.

"It's this or nothing." Dipper responded while making himself comfortable on the blanket.

Pacifica shrugged and sat down next to him. "I didn't know you liked stars, Pines."

"Same to you. I'm surprised, actually."

"Learn something new every day." Dipper felt a smile grow on his face. He liked being here. Maybe it was the nice weather, or the stars, or maybe even Pacifica. "Some stars are showing!" Pacifica exclaimed excitingly and rushed over to the telescope.

"It's a really nice night!" Pacifica said and looked up from the telescope to look with her own eyes. Her face lit up like a firework, just like when Dipper saw her watching alone in the woods. "Wow…" She said to herself.

Pacifica turned around to see Dipper smiling at her. "What?"

Dipper snapped out of his stare. "Nothing. It's just really pretty."

Pacifica nodded and sat back down next to him. "I wish I could touch a star."

"You'd probably die." Dipper replied.

"Yeah…" Pacifica laid down. "But it would be worth it in a way. Achieving something impossible probably feels amazing. And being that far away from everybody must be…." Pacifica left her last sentence hanging.

Dipper felt as if Pacifica opened herself up to him, in a way she never did with anybody else. "You can use this spot whenever you want, we can co-own it."

Pacifica laughed a little. "Sure. Sounds good to me. I'll probably be using it a lot."

"If you watch the stars because you are lonely…" Dipper started. "I'll watch them with you whenever you want."

Pacifica's face turned red triggering Dipper's face to turn red too. "W-who said I was lonely? I have TONS of friends!" She crossed her arms. She cleared her throat, "But…I guess….that sounds alright…."

Dipper stuck out his hand to her. "I think some re-introductions are in order. I'm Dipper Pines. It's nice to...finally meet you."

Pacifica hesitated to take his hand but ultimately did. "I'm Pacifica Northwest. The pleasure is all mine."

As Dipper walked home after dropping Pacifica off, he thought about all the stars he saw that day, but not one as beautiful as the one right beside him.
