Angel of Mine

Written by: Adventure-Seeking-Juliet

When: Watching Episode V...but mostly listening to this heart warming song.

Disclaimer: I do not own SW, or the song 'Angel of Mine.'

A/N One-shot. Vader thinks back to his times with his Angel...and he longs for the time when he can see her radiant sunshine again...Not a song-fic, loosely based off of the song 'Angel of Mine'. Very sweet, but sad. Please read and Review.

He remembers her still. Like a faded picture the memory of her beauty is nothing compared to the real thing, but the image still hazily fills Vader's mind.

He whispers to her in his dreams...for she sits smiling at him like their days on Naboo. She was and still is everything to him, her smile is like soft sunlight, and it sheds light on his damaged soul.

I love you, Padme.

Her voice is soft, almost transparent, I love you to, Ani.

So Vader lies awake at night, drops of moonlight sparkling on her beautiful image inside his head, If only he could show her how much she meant to him.

Vader does the only thing he can do for her now, he thanks her.

Angel of mine, can I thank you? You saved me time and time again...Angel, I must confess that it was you that gave me stregnth. And I don't know what to do, because now I am without you.

After all of these years...he finally understands that only one thing is true. The constant voice within his heart...is her. Padme. His angel.

He thinks back on all of the day's that they spent together. The memories are his only treasure...the only reason he was good for so long was her.

And so he thanks her again...

Angel of mine, let me thank you. You saved me time and time again. Angel, I must confess it was you that gave me stregnth...and I don't know where I am without you.

Finally as Anakin begins to fade into the Force...he is with her again.

Back in the arms of his angel, back to the peace that he loves so much; he can finally rest. So he says to her the words he has longed to tell her for so long.

Angel of mine, let me thank you. You saved me time and time again. Angel, I must confess it was you that gave me stregnth...and now I can finally breath again with you here.

Angel of mine...

A/N It was short, but what do you think?
