The Dream

Disclaimer: George Lucas owns the Star Wars universe and Rebecca Moesta owns Tahari, I think.

Tahari stood still. She didn't understand why she was in this strange house. From the doorway, it looked so familiar, but she didn't understand why. She had never been there before.

The room that she was looking at was fairly small and plain. In one corner was a small wooden table with two chairs. An old-fashioned stove was in the middle of the room, and a cot was set up next to the door. Behind the stove was a doorway that led to another room.

Tahari had started for that room when she sensed someone behind her. Turning, she saw something totally unexpected. There was Anakin, all covered in blood!

"Anakin! What happened to you?!?" Tahari said.

"You tell me. You did this..."

Tahari woke with a start. She was surprised that she hadn't screamed. That dream had been haughting her for nights now. Every time she had awoken when she saw Anakin covered with blood. Every time she had awakened screaming, right before dawn. She didn't understand what was going on, and she was becoming afraid to go to sleep at night.

At breakfast that morning, Anakin noticed that Tahari looked tired. She had bags under her eyes and she didn't talk as much as she usually did. In fact, she barely spoke at all during breakfast...

On the way to their first class Anakin asked if anything was wrong.

"Nothings wrong." Tahari said. "I just didn't get much sleep, that's all."

"And I don't believe you why?"

Tahari sighed. "Fine. I had that dream again. Only this time you answered."

"Oh? What did I say?"

"You said that it was my fault and that I should know why I did it." Tahari said, the last part coming out in a rush.

"I hate to say this, because I know you won't do this, but maybe you should go talk to Uncle Luke about this."

"Your right, I'm not going to go talk to him. I mean, it could mean nothing, right?" She looked at him, hopefully.

Anakin sighed. He knew when it was hopeless to argue with her.

"Sure Tahari, sure."
