Had I been wrong?

Tomoyo had been sitting impassively on her throne chair absolutely uninterested in everything around her. It seemed as though it had been some one or two days ago she had sent Kurogane away, most probably longer, and she had been torn out of her wits.

She couldn't even smile.

Soma had done nothing but sit at a far corner since then. She never shuddered or uttered a word. She just sat there like a plagued statue would, sitting listlessly with her chin resting on her long-unused knees.

This had all resulted to Kurogane's disappearance.

Now that he was gone, it seemed peaceful, quiet…utterly boring with no hint of excitement to lighten its paths.

Had she been wrong to send him away?

No of course not. Hadn't it been him who reeked of chaos and apprehension?

Hadn't it been him who spilled blood upon the lands of her harmonious nation?

Hadn't it been he who created the wounded pride at the core of her empathy?

And also…

Hadn't it been he who always seemed to make her smirk quite so joyously even when the moments had seemed so unpromising?

It had always been him…
