Dipper Pines wasn't feeling well today. His head was hurting, his legs felt weak, throat was hurting him, he felt really tired too. He felt cold and his nose was stuffed up too.

He didn't want to tell anyone, bevause last time he did,Mabel,Stan and Ford overreacted and pulled him into the spot light.

He hates being in the spotlight. He felt embarrassed and stupid too.

When he told them he thought he had a cold, his family pulled him right into the spotlight.

He stayed in ths house for about a whole week and he couldn't do anything but lay in bed and 'relax'.

Dipper sighed as he stepped inside the Mystery Shack and making his way up onto the roof to get away from every body. He didn't want anybody to know he was getting sick.

He sat down on the edge of the roof and sniffled his nose.

"A-achoo!"

Dipper made a kitten sneeze. His sniffled his nose again.

"I hope nobody heard that."

Dipper thought in his mind. Then he sneezed again.

And again...

And again...

"Ugh! Quit it,Dip!"

He said to himself.

"Dipper?"

A familiar old deep voice was heard.

It was Ford.

Dipper turned his head around to see his idol there coming over.

Dipper simply forced a smile on his face and kept it there.

"Dipper, what are you doing uo here?"

Ford asked as he sat next to his nephew.

Ford stared at Dipper for a few seconds. He looked pale and had bags under his eyes, bags that were darker than his usual ones.

"Dipper, are you feeling alright? You,don't look so well." Ford said with a little worry. He raised his six fingered hand up to feel the boy's head.

Dipper saw Ford's hand move forward to his head. Dipper scooted away.

"I'm fine." Dipper replied hoarsley.

Dipper cleared his throat.

"I'm fine." He said a littke more normal.

Ford cocked a grey brow up. Was Dipper really fine? Ford didn't think so. The kid was super pale anyway.

"Are you sure?" Ford asked sounding a little concern.

It took a few seconds for Dipper to reply.

He swallowed and felt his throat hurt more.

Dipper winced in pain and tried to hide the fact that he was sick.

"Y-yeah. I'm fine." Dipper finally replied.

"Alright then. I hope your not lying. I know why you would do that. I know how you feel kiddo, you got pulled into the spotlight last time." Ford said as he ruffled Dipper's hair.

Dipper watched Ford leave the roof.

"Wait!" Dipper hoarsley said.

Ford looked back at Dipper sitting there, waiting for him to come back.

"I think I am sick. But please don't tell Grunkle Stan and Mabel. Please?" Dipper pleaded.

Ford pursed the bottom of his lip.

Dipper continued to give him the pleading look to his idol.

"I uh..." Ford struggled to find words. He couldn't think,of anything to say." I..."

"Please, Great uncle Ford?" Dipper pleaded again.

"Alright." Ford said as he sighed. "I won't tell."

Dipper smiled." Thanks." He said as he hugged his uncle.

Dipper started to cough. He used his shirt to cover the coughs. Then he stopped.

"You alright?" Ford asked.

Dipper nodded in response.

"I'm just gonna go inside and take a nap." Dipper said as he got up and walk back into the shack.

Dipper shuffled his feet into his room. He sat down on his bed and took his hat, vest and shoes off.

He climbed on,his bed and slid under his covers and sighed.

He started to cough again.

"Nngh..." Dipper shifted in his bed and faced the wall.

"Just...a little...rest." Dipper yawned. His eyes fluttered a few times and they closed shut and fell asleep.

(few hours later)

beep beep!*

Dipper opened his eyes quick. He gaspsed and layed up quick.

He tried to catch his breathe.

"Woah, hey there, take it easy." A gruff voice was heard.

Dipper looked uo at the person in front of him. It was Stan.

"Grunkle Stan?"

Dipper asked in shock.

"What are you, doing up here?" Dipper asked.

"You've been sleeping for a long time now, I just thought I could take your tempurature, and by the looks of it..." Stan raised the thermometer to where he could see the numbers.

"It looks like you have the flu." Stan said handing the thermometer to the boy.

Dipper looked at it in shock. He gasped.

"T-the flu?" Dipper stuttered.

"Yeah. I think you should stay in bed and get some rest. I'm gonna tell your sister when she get's back from her friend's house." Stan said as he stomped out of the room.

"Get better kiddo." Stan said as he closed the door.

Dipper sat in his bed with blank expression.

"Uh-oh." Dipper hopped out of his the best he could bearing all his aches and pains.

"Oh no, oh no, oh...no, no, no, no no!"

Dipper circled around his room.

"What am i gonna do? I can't let them know I'm sick!" Dipper complained.

Dipper stopped circling. He felt dizzy and weak. He sat on his bed and held his hand to his head.

Then something popped up in his head.

"Why not just run away until you feel better?" He thought in mind.

Dipper, with the best strength he could, put his shoes on and quietly races out the door and snuck out.

He whimpered as he ran off in the woods feeling the pain shot up in his body. His head felt like it was being slammed up against the wall.

He slid behind a tree and slid down and sat there to catch his breathe.

He felt his stomach churn and twist. He was feeling nouscious.

Dipper gripped onto his shirt. His stomach went worse.

"Oooohh...I don't feel so good." He said.

He winced in pain.

His stomach went worse. He was going to throw up.

"Oh god! Oh,I don't fee-" Dipper got up and bent foward. He hurled behind the tree.

He started to cry. He wasn't feeling very well at all. He felt very sick and achey all over.

He stopped throwing up and layed down beside the tree and cried.

"I w-wanna g-go home!" He sobbed. He started ti regret running away from the Mystery Shack.

He tried to get back up but he was just too weak and sick to.

He just layed there and sobbed.

He sniffled his stuffed up nose and coughed.

"G-grunkle S-stan?" He hoped Stan could hear him.

Stan was after all outside doing a tour.

"And as you can see here, this is a rock that looks like a face!" Stan said as he showed the attraction to his tourists.

"Wow...oooh...Aaaahh!" The crowd said.

"Is it a face that looks like a rock?" Someone asked.

Stan gave a blank stare at the person.

"I'm not even gonna reply to that." Stan said flat.

"Well anyways, tour is over folks, you can go inside the shack and find the gift shop there filled with mysterious objects for you to buy."

The group headed inside the shack in to look at the gift shop.

Stan sighed in relief. He knew that was the last tourist of the day for him.

Then he paused for a moment. He heard sobs coming from the woods. He turned around giving a suspicious look. He listened more to the sobs coming from the woods.

"Is that...Dipper!?"

Stan started to panic. He ran inside the shack, flying up the stairs, almost tripping, and opened the door to the twins room.

Dipper wasn't in there.

"Oh god,Dipper!" Stan called for him.

He ran back outside into the woods.

"Dipper! Dipper! Kid,where are you!" Stan yelled.

Dipper was weeping behind the tree he threw up at. He sniffled his stuffed up nose and coughed. He wished he could be back at the Shack in his bed, with his warm blanket, and some medicine to help him feel better.

He regretted running away. But he hadn't realised he didn't run that far away.

"Dipper! Dipper! Kid where are you!"

Dipper looked up the best he could.

"Pleas let that be Grunkle Stan!"

"Grunkle Stan? Grunkle Stan!"

Stan ran over to the boy and took a good look at him.

"What were you thinking? You can't run off like that! You scared me!" Stan said hugging the sick boy.

"M'sorry. I just...I just don't like being pulled into the spotlight." Dipper replied sounding really tired.

"Well, you could've told us that. C'mon, let's go back home." Stan said as he picked Dipper up ans held him like a toddler.

Stan gently layed DippeDipper down in his bed. He pulled his black sneakers off and covered him up in his blankets.

"Alright, kiddo, this time, your staying in the shack. I think you learnes your lesson, huh?" Stan asked raising his grey bushy brows up.

Dipper nodded.

"Alright then. Now,get some sleep,I'm gonna head downtown to get some flu medicine for ya." Stan said.

He leaned down and gave a kiss on Dipper's head.

Dipper smiled and started to fall asleep.

"Dipper,Dipper my boy, wake up." A more soft voice was heard.

Dipper fluttered his eyes open seeing Ford there.

"G'Ford?"

"We got the medicine for you,and look who's here." Ford said.

Dipper looked around the room.

"Mabel!" He said with joy.

"Hi bro bro,how are you feeling?",Mabel said as she sat down on his bed next to him.

"I don't feel well,but I'm okay,i guess." Dipper replied.

"That's good." Mabel said.

"You wanna play a card game?" Mabel asked.

"Sure,I guess." Dipper replied.

"Okay,I'll go get the cards." Mabel ran off to find the cards.

"You got a good sister." Ford chuckled.

"Heh,yeah."Dipper sniffled his nose.

"Well,I leave you be,get better kiddo." Ford left the room.

Dipper smiled. He was kinda glad everyone was taking care of him. He appreciated it.

"Maybe its a good thing that my family takes care of me when I'm sick." Dipper said to himself.
