"Aw, shit... I'm late for school.." This wasn't my favorite day, I can tell you that. I got into a really stupid fight with Katie last night. She's terrified of the thought of me willing to go out and be a superhero again... I told her that it wouldn't happen. It was a tiny white lie, nothing big.

At school, chicks were looking at me disgustingly and the guys looked at me like the dickheads they were! But if they knew who I really was, and no, I'm not talking about all this touchy feely crap. No, I'm talking about Dave Lizewski, the hero, the vigilante, Kick-Ass.

Alright, I know it sounds pretty cheesy but hey, you cannot deny the truth. If people knew who I was, they probably- Scratch that, they would be all over me. I'd be a superstar around this school and no one would fuck with me, Todd, or Marty again.

Whenever I walk around the school I always see the pshco ninja girl that everyone's afraid of. That would be Mindy or Hit-Girl. She has some friends that aren't scared of her, like me, Marty, and some other girl in her grade Blake. Other than that, everyone shit's their pants when she comes around. Not to mention, Todd, who is desperately waiting to see Hit-Girl on the street to make his move on her.

"So, what's up with you and Katie, huh, Dave?" Marty asked me. What the hell? Does rumors really circulate around the school that fast. "Nothing, nothing at all. Why ever do you ask, Marty?" I said adding my sarcasm in there. "Oh, you know, just that she is-Shit!" He mumbled quietly and in a flash him and Todd were off leaving me confused. I knew why they left after all. Katie was coming towards me.

"Hey, hunny... Listen, about last night-" I cut her off before she could finish. Knowing her, she would blow this whole thing out of this world. So, I gave up my battle right then and there. "No, it's okay. You had every right to protest me from trying to do something as stupid as that. I miss it, but I'd miss you more." She laughed and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Wow, she gets me going. "Well, actually, I realized, I've been the stupid one. Who am I to say that you should stop doing something that you love? It's all up to you." She stared at me innocently but deep inside she was testing me.

"Nah, it's okay, I'm so done with it." I nodded at her and she threw her arms around me. "I'm glad you said that!" She ran off and left me sitting there. Boy, did I just dodge a bullet. Hypethetically, of course.
