The heart, and a half...
Twas said Sei had only half a heart; a heart unworthy to be whole. He cast his body off, unwisely so, and did himself a bit of dirt. But in doing so, he gave himself the greatest gift; a gift he uncertainly gave----- a gift of new beginnings, the gift of self-forgiveness, and the gift of safe return, fulfillment, and rebirth...
"What do I do, where do I go, and who do I turn to now?" he cried one night; a fateful night in the dead of winter, under a full moon's light...
A hand on his shoulder told him he was not alone. He turned a hair to look over that shoulder, and saw the whole world behind him----- "Your worries are all our own; fear not; we are all apart of you, to deny you would be to deny us all."
But Sei said to them, "Don't let me into your heart----I am not to be trusted with it! You are not a part of me, for I am not whole. Nor am I a part of you, for I am a piece of pure evil; ...a castaway from the darkness!"
But they said, "...And yet, a piece of darkness would not be weeping in the moonlight."
"True, true..." sighed Sei, there in the everbright moonlight.
The moon set, and all faded sadly into darkness. But a little voice told him, that the light of a new dawn was on the homestretch, and that he would be there soon.
…A piece of darkness would not anticipate the morning.

AN: I wrote this a fairly long time ago------actually, around the same time that I wrote "Enigmas' Wings". ...It was in the midst of a very long and boring road trip... +rambles on and on about how boring it was+ X3
PS: The character speaking in place of "the whole world" (I imagined her standing solo in front of miles and miles of people) is an original character from my Keyboard Master story... I'm not going to give out her name, but I will share that, in my story, she has basically been credited as "the personification of wisdom". It's her job to give light and meaning to the confused and distressed!. :-)
