The team had just went out to fix an anchronism in 1987, when it turned out that what they thought was just a simple threat was a trap for them from the Darhks. It ended up with the Legends having to retreat due to Nora now having the Spirit Totem that used to be Amayas, but not before Damien could shoot their Captain in the shoulder.

As soon as the teams feet hit the Waverider, all out of breath, Sara took to the pilots seat.

"Gideon, get us out of here," she said just as a loud explosion hit the ship, rocking everyone aboard. "Now."

"Yes Captain," the ship took flight automatically as the blond layed back and tried to put pressure on her wound.

"Hey blondie, you alright?" Mick asked from behind her. Sara tried to nod her head, but the darkness soon took over.

The next thing she knew, Sara was concious again but it felt like she was floating on clouds. She could hear voices arguing nearby in hushed tones.

"How did this happen," said the voice Sara had grown accustomed to lately.

"Well you see, we thought it was just a simple anachronism in 1987 with there being a phone in the wrong time period but turns out it was a very well planned trap by the Darhks. Anyways we were retreating when Sara got shot and the explosion that hit us right before we time jumped cut the power out, including Gideon," Ray stated, out of breath.

"Ray she can't stay here. She needs a real hospital and a real doctor," Ava said as she put a hand to her girlfriends head to feel it burning up.

Sara groggily reached up with her dwindling energy and put her hand on Ava's.

"Ava," she said, her voice dry and weak. "What are you doing here?" Sara's eyes opened to reveal Ava standing above her in her usual suit.

"Well I came to see you and give the team a mission update but as soon as I portaled onto the Waverider my watch shorted out. There's no power and Ray here," she turned to him,"was just about to go and try and fix it." Ray nodded his head and turned to go before glancing to his Captain once more.

"I'll be as quick as I can, Sara. But I don't really do egineering. Too bad Jax isn't here," Ray stated sadly as he walked away. Now that Sara was fully awake she was starting to feel the pain of the gunshot wound in her shoulder.

"Ava who patched me up?" She asked her girlfriend who was now sitting in a chair beside her, their hands tangled together.

"Well I did and I know I'm not exactly a Doctor but I did take a medical course back in my training. I know how to do basic stitches," Sara laughed.

"So back in the dinosaur ages? Oh I'm sure they're great," the wounded Captain used her good arm to push herself into a sitting position with much pain.

"Sara!" Ava scolded the woman."Do not move, those stitches can pop at even the slightest movement." Sara's vision clouded a bit from the pain so she didn't move anymore.

"Ok, ok. Where's the rest of my team?" She asked Ava.

"Umm, yea about that we do have a bit of a problem aboard as well," Ava replied regretfully as Sara just raised an eyebrow to her, waiting for the explanation. "Well you see, when the ship was hit with whatever it was hit with, it kind of may have created a hole in the cargo bay. So Amaya, Nate and Zari are trying to take care of that and Mick is with Wally West attempting to beat him at a game of slaps." Sara grinned.

"How's that working for Mick?"

"Not very well the last time I checked on them. Anyways, how are you feeling? That wounds got to hurt," Ava asked, gesturing to the hole in Sara's shoulder. The Captain was wearing basic grey sweatpants and a white long sleeve shirt, her left shoulder bandaged underneath.

"It hurts but I've had way worse. Like when I was stranded on Lian Yu, or when I died when someone shot me, coming back to life, the time Rip shot me, the time-" Sara was cut off though when a loud crash was heard from the cargo bay area along with a scream. A scream belonging to Zari.

Oblivious to her injuries the Captain jumped out of bed and grabbed her Bo staff from the nightstand beside her, Ava already drawing her gun.

"No Sara, stay here and out of whatever's happening," Ava attempted to push the Captain back into the medical bed but was quickly pinned beneath her instead, gun gone from her hand. She was about to yell at her girlfriend when a hand found its way over her mouth, shushing her.

Ava was confused as to why Sara would do this but her question was soon answered as she could hear large footsteps from the hall. Sara stood up and quickly gave Ava the bo staff, keeping the gun for herself as she wasn't in any condition to use the melee weapon.

Both woman made their way to the door of the medical wing in professionally silenced footsteps, each taking a side of the door. Sara gripped the gun in her right hand as her vision clouded a bit more at all the movement she was doing to her gunshot wound.

Ava nodded to her girlfriend before opening the door and walking into the hall where they heard footsteps earlier. Upon entering the hallway they were greeted with none other than Damien Darhk who easily stopped Ava's attack on him with his magic, freezing her mid strike. However, he didn't see Sara enter the hall after her girlfriend and she took her chance and shot at her enemy. The bullet stopped mid air, an inch from his face.

"Nice try, Sara. But I would rather think this belongs to you," he said as he shoved his hand forward in the air and the bullet made itself home in her right thigh, only a few inches above her knee. The Captain didn't cry out in pain, instead she just fell against the wall and clutched her leg, dropping her gun in the process.

"What do I-" she struggled to speak as she took deep breaths to keep the pain away as best she could,"owe the pleasure to, Damien?" He laughed loudly before throwing Ava against the wall next to Sara, hitting her head hard in the process.

"Well you see Sara, I heard that you have recently visited none other than Mallus himself. Is that true?" He asked her, walking to stand above the Captain and newly promoted Director.

"Yea actually, I did. I did while we were on a mission to help your daughter, Damien. Where were you?" Sara knew her words would get her punished but as long as Damien stayed away from Ava, she was fine with it. He didn't know they were dating and she'd rather keep that a secret from her enemy. Damien growled.

"I was working to get her back, you insolent little bitch," he reached down and picked Sara up by her arms, pushing her against the wall while Ava sat on the ground watching. Her enemy put one hand around her neck and the other on her first gunshot wound in her shoulder. Damien didn't notice as the Director slowly reached into her suit pocket and produced a knife.

"I was working on getting her back while your team interfered with my goal," his hand cut off oxygen from her throat as the other dug into her stitches, his thumb reopening the hole. This time the Captain couldn't help but try and cry out, but no sound came as she couldn't breath.

Before she knew what was happening Damien let Sara go as she slumped down the wall and heard him shout in pain. He grabbed his leg and backed away from the two woman as Ava crawled to Sara.

"Sara, hey can you hear me?" The blonds head went into her girlfriends lap as pressure was put on her leg, making her moan in pain despite trying to appear strong.

"You will both pay for that now," Sara heard Damien roar in anger. She still couldn't breath properly as she focused on not passing out. Ava helped the Captain sit against the wall again.

"Stay here Sara. I'm serious," Ava stood up and looked at Damien.

"That was Sara's knife Damien. Do you know what that means?" She asked him as he slowly and painfully pulled the knife out of his thigh, blood going everywhere.

"Yes, Director Sharpe. I know exactly what that means. It means that it's still a pointy blade that can cut you into a million pieces, and your bitch friend too," he yelled at her. If Ava was being honest with herself, she didn't know how she was talking to a monster like this when in reality she was freaking out. Power was down, she heard Zari scream earlier, Nora wasn't in sight, and oh yea, her girlfriend was bleeding out behind her. Bluffing was her only choice.

"Well I guess it means that too, but more importantly in means that there's poison on that blade and if I were in your position, I wouldn't waste time on us when you don't have any." Damien smirked and stood up with a limp, one hand never leaving his wound and the other holding her knife.

"Well played, Director Sharpe, but how do I know you're not lying?" He took a few menacing steps towards the girls.

"Are you willing to take your chances?" She retorted, raising an eyebrow. Damien stood there for about a minute before producing a small stone in his pocket. The stone started to glow but before he left, his last words stuck in both Sara and Ava's head.

"I'll be back, Captain Lance and Director Sharpe. Next time you see me, you'll wish you'd never heard my name before. I have bigger plans than just killing you two, much much bigger plans. Until next time," he put two fingers to his head and mock saluted to them before disappearing.

Ava turned around ready to see Sara laughing at her and making fun of her for trying to bluff but all she was met with was silence. She immediately thought the worse and dropped down to her girlfriends side, checking for a pulse.

She found one, but it was weak and the power still wasn't on. Using all her strength, Ava picked the blond up and carefully carried them back into the medical wing, gently setting her down again.

"Oh Sara, how does this always happen?" She asked the unconcious Captain who was losing blood very quickly. Grabbing the medical supplies she needed, Sharpe got to work on patching up her girlfriends leg first. After about ten minutes someone ran in behind her and Ava instantly put her gun to their head.

"Hey whoa!" Nate said, putting his hands up in surrender. Ava lowered the gun.

"Nate help me now. Sara's losing too much blood, I need you to put pressure to her shoulder right there," she directed her new guest, thankful that she wasn't alone anymore.

"What the hell happened? Nora attacked Amaya, Zari and I. She took Zari's totem..." he trailed off as he put pressure on his Captains wound.

"Damien Darhk attacked us. He almost killed Sara before I stabbed him and bluffed my way out of the situation. Hand me the scissors," Nate did as he was told.

"He wrecked Sara up pretty bad, huh?" He said. Ava just nodded as a few teats sprung to her eyes. She didn't let them fall.

"Are the other alright?"

"Yea, other than a few bumps and scratches. Amaya and Zari went to check on the rest of the team and I came here. I don't know about Ray," as soon as he said his name, the man in question appeared and took in the scene before him.

"Holy crapoli," he stated, walking into the room with a wierd looking machine in hand. "What happened?" Nate explained it to Ray again as Ava finished the last stitches on Sara's leg before quickly moving to her shoulder.

"Switch me Nate. Clean her leg then bandage it for me."

"We have another problem," Ray stated. Sighing, Ava dared to speak.

"What is it Ray?"

"Well the good news is that the ship has power again, the bad news is that Gideon will be offline until Zari can reprogram her."

"Where's Zari?" Ava asked as she wiped her brow with bloodied hands.

"I'll go find her," Ray ran off.

"Be quick Ray! Sara needs Gideon now!"
