Chapter One – Alice's POV
I looked into her sparkly blue eyes as she stared intensively into Rosalie's. Ever since the first day where I held her in my arms she felt like one of my own. The doorbell rang with its tune that she loved to giggle too and I gently picked her up out of her cot and went to answer the door. It was Jasper – the one whom she and I absolutely adored – he was back with our all so important hunt for the evening.
Her twinkling eyes obviously caught the attention of others because they came from all over the world just to see her. The whole family, including the distant cousins from Sri-Lanka, came to Mollie's first birthday. They showered her in presents and glory; of course we're vampires that's just what we do. Even Edward and Bella managed to make it; after all they were her god parents. I know Jasper and I weren't her real parents, she was adopted and some day we would have to tell her, but I believed in my heart she was mine. Not someone else's all mine.
Her first crawl in life was when she was 8 months old, just the right time to start. We were out in the park when she decided to get out of the pram by sliding down the edge. Jasper and I were sitting on the bench and he was on the phone to his Mother while I was fiddling with my hair, twining round my fingers. I was so proud of her, my little girl taking her first steps.
Her next great achievement in life was when she started talking. I was so please when she said mum-ma and dad-da! Jasper and I were almost in tears. Rosalie was there when she started! She was so happy because at the time she was showing me her engagement ring! She was getting married to Emmett, soon they were going to start a family and she was already pregnant.
'Look at my bump! It's getting so big!' Said Rosalie in shock as I felt her belly
'I know! How many weeks gone are you again?' I asked
'I have 2 months left; my due date is on the 23rd March'
I have to say though; I didn't think motherhood would be as easy as it has been. Compared to other people's it's been a doddle.
