An Introduction

The worst part about it is that I'm not me anymore. I don't know who I am. I don't know where I came from. I am no one. I am everyone. I get so caught up in the other minds that I lose myself. Or perhaps I cease to exist. There are so many thoughts and so many feelings. Feelings that aren't mine. I don't know whose they are, but I know that they are not mine.

I don't care what you believe. I believe it. Do you know why I believe it? Dear Sir, because I live it, of course.

Not real. Well, what is reality, anyway?

A delusion, you say? It's not. I know that it's not. These happenings are terrible. I wish I could say that this wasn't real. But it is. The Truth cannot change because you don't believe it. Mere hope cannot kill an evil force. For that, I truly am sorry.

Oh, yes. What did I see?

There is a girl somewhere. Well, a woman, really. She's older than me. She needs my help, which you call a "crime". My efforts, I mean. I need to find a man with red in his eyes. Her name is Jean. She used to call herself Phoenix.

Until she gave it to me.
