Shadow of Reflection

-

It's heavy, the love that I would share with you

Kurama had just confessed to Hiei how much he loved him.

But you dust it off like it was just a sugar cube.

Hiei blinked twice, shifted his shoulders a little and in a second he winked out, leaving Kurama standing all alone.

Now the little pain sittin' in my heart has shrunk just a little but it really does hurt me now.

Kurama walks solemnly home and keeps control over his emotions till he opens the door to his room. He starts to sob uncontrollably as he falls onto his bed.

Those silly horoscopes I guess I can't trust them after all.

Hiei smiles as he tells Yukina how wrong she was about Kurama.

If we could get further away, I wonder what it would be like.

Kurama finds a way back to the makai to spend the rest of his miserable life.

I'd be so happy, inside my heart.

Kurama decided he needed to get away from whatever reminds him of Hiei if he'll ever be happy.

All the memories I have are beautiful in my mind.

Kurama and Hiei are both thinking of all the things that they had ever done together.

But they don't feed the hunger deep inside my soul.

Hiei and Kurama both realize they'll need each other if they'll ever be happy.

And tonight I thought I'd be just sittin' in my sorrow.

Kurama sits in a hut made of black wood trees feeling sad and angry. Hiei sits in his cave as a single black teargem slides down his cheek and lands with a light clatter that echoes through out.

And now I must wonder why, what did it really mean to you

Hiei sets out to find Kurama and explain his reaction. Kurama at the same time is wondering what he should do with his life. It's bound to be a long, long, miserable life after all.

I just can't see it anymore. I just can't see it anymore.

When Hiei finally found Kurama he was sitting in a clearing surrounded by highly deadly makai foliage.

"Kurama!" the call broke through the youko's concentration as all the plant's turned toward Hiei.

"Unko!" was all Hiei said as the plants descended.

"Stop!" Kurama commanded the plants. "Hiei. What are you doing here." He didn't mean to sound hostile but he knew he did.

"I... I just wanted to tell you... why I left like that. I... I was just... unsure." By this time Hiei was trembling. He was trembling in Kurama's arms!
