"Gotcha Matthew!" Jack shouted after throwing a snowball while trying to run from Sarah, an evil little 9 year old girl who loved to throw snowballs at him and had pretty good aim.
Smack! He got hit in the head again and turned around only to find a laughing Sarah rolling on the ground in hysterics.
"It's not that funny is it Sarah?" Jack asked in defeat. She looked up at him for a second before laughing louder than before. OK, how about a treat Sarah? Jack grabbed a handful of snow and threw it at Sarah before running away again. Matthew joined them again and soon there was a full on war.
Four hours later the three of them were lying on a picnic blanket watching the stars. Jack was telling them about how the man in the moon had chosen the guardians to protect them.
A few minutes later Jack noticed the lights going across the sky.
"Oh no…" He muttered, "Sorry guys but I have to go, like right now."
"It's okay Jack, Sarah and I have to go inside now anyways, I can already smell dinner cooking!" Matthew said in a cheerful voice and he and Sarah walked back inside, discussing what they could smell cooking. Jack smiled, remembering the days when he worried about things like that.
He rushed off into the frigid night air but it didn't affect him at all, considering he was Jack Frost.
