Chapter 1- A Pale Shadow
"I said no, Ronald."
"Oh come on, Mione," said Ron, a pale, ginger, freckle-faced boy. "Just give the git one detention. Please!"
Hermione slammed her book shut, stood up and stormed out of the Gryffindor tower. The war was finally over, but the troubles weren't. Harry, Ron and Hermione returned to complete their missed year in Hogwarts. Hermione has been elected as Head Girl.
Ron has sulked for a while, because he wasn't chosen as a Head Boy, but he got over it quick well.
However he still wanted to make some of the students pay. Some of the students meant Slytherins. So he practically lied to Hermione, kept pointing out small things and begging her to punish them.
Ron had changed since after the war. Drastically. He was no longer the happy, innocent and childish boy he had been before.
Hermione shook her head, trying to empty it of everything and felt herself walk into something. That something was a someone.
"Mione, you ok?"
Hermione smiled slightly at the sight of Harry. Next to him stood Draco. After the war those two reached an understanding and even a mild friendship.
"Yes, Harry, I'm fine," said Hermione.
Harry grinned.
"Mr Potter! A word please!"
Harry groaned quietly as he heard the school's Mediwitch's voice.
"See you later," Harry muttered as he turned around and limped slightly towards the matron.
Draco watched him go, then turned to Her- Granger. Her cheeks were red and her eyes were a bit puffy.
"Another fight with Weasley."
It wasn't a question, but Hermione nodded anyway.
Draco scanned her with his eyes, finally meeting her chocolate-brown ones. He swallowed.
"Hello, Hermione." It was Blaise. He was that years Head Boy. He had a letter in his hand. He held it out and Hermione took it. Blaise smiled and Draco felt like punching him.
"I hope you are doing well,' Blaise said charmingly, 'accidentally' brushing some of her hair of Hermione's shoulder.
Draco, no longer wanted to punch Blaise. He wanted to kill him.
"I'm fine, Blaise," said Hermione, as she blushed slightly.
"I'm sorry, my dear, but I must go," Blaise said. "I shall see you on Monday, at seven, like usual, correct?"
"Yes, you will," said Hermione and watched him go, sighing wishfully.
She didn't notice Draco narrowing his eyes.
Draco swore as he hit his toe against a wall. He was pacing in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady. The portrait finally opened and Hermione climbed out. She didn't even look at Draco, which was a good sign that his spells were working.
A silencing spell, notice-me-not charm, invisibility spell, a disillusionment spell and a bunch of others, just in case.
Draco started following Hermione.
She went to a door and opened it. Draco barely slipped through, before she closed the door.
It was an unused classroom. It was empty.
In a few minutes the door opened again and Blaise came in.
