MOOOOOOOOOOoooooo! Yeah, I could be working on other things, but somethings need to be done. I was disturbed to find that there are no Xana/Jeremy Code Lyoko stories. I had to rectify the situation, so here is a little flashfic of a completely AU that I've been thinking about. Maybe I'll make more. Or actually explain their world at some point. Maybe.

"You made a clone of William. And named him Billy?" Jeremy asked again. He continued to surprise himself about how detached he was from the situation, but supposed it was better than panicking.

"That is his name." Xana said, not looking away from the computer screen.

"But that's William's name."

"Yes." Xana stated. He paused in his typing, tilting his head, but after a short pause, went taping away again.

"Why didn't you pick a different one?"

"That is his name."

"But Billy is just another way to say William." Jeremy was sure that he was trying to make a point, yet somehow couldn't be as eloquent as he wanted.

"Jeremy." Xana finally looked towards him, and Jeremy had to fight not to flinch away from the gaunt face alighted by the computer. "I was under the impression that you were intelligent, and yet you seem to be trying to relieve me of that impression. I feel that it is fair to inform you that I will not let you go if you disappoint me. I will simply kill you."

There wasn't much that Jeremy could say to that, so he kept quiet. Xana turned back to face the screen. "He is William. I would have designated him William, but felt that, as he is also technically his own person, an appellation would be more seemly. Billy is his name."

The room was silent except for the sounds of quick and nimble fingers.

Jeremy shifted, trying to make himself as comfortable as possible in the bed. It still felt almost annoyingly soft beneath him after so long of making do with a cot or, more often than not, his giant supercomputer chair. The surface was also completely covered in pillows, which was rather annoying, but Jeremy hesitated to just push them on the floor. Instead, and he was trying to make as little noise as possible so he was glad that the mattress, (whatever it was made of,) didn't creak, he relocated most of them to the footboard.

Crawling back to the top, Jeremy lay his head down on one of the few remaining pillows. It was cool and soothing.

Jeremy would have sworn he had only blinked, though the fact that his eyes snapped open as he sank a little to his right would have made that assertion less than credible. There wasn't much to see in the dark, but he could feel Xana's cool and malnourished, (but by no means weak, as Jeremy had learned,) body. The presence wasn't per say cold, but it wasn't the right temperature for a human. Jeremy wouldn't have minded as much, (because he did mind sleeping next to his enemy,) if Xana did not insist on cuddling. It was unnerving, and there was no way Jeremy would be able to fall asleep until their body heat reached equilibrium.

Jeremy was limp in Xana's arms. He supposed that the situation could be worse: they could be having sex again, and then he wouldn't have gotten any rest and his…back would hurt for the next couple of days.

Still, it would have been warmer.

Jeremy sighed and relaxed. And then finally, after at least 20 minutes of lying in the dark, he closed his eyes.
