It all started with a touch of the shoulders, a fleeting glance on his part, and a deep bow on hers.

"Gomenasai Hitsugaya-taicho," Her raven hair spilled over from her shoulders, covering her face, "I did not mean to-"

"It's fine Kuchiki. You don't need to apologize; I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking anyway." He cut her off; she came up from her previous position, into that of a standing one. Her eyes fluttered open, and the dragon prodigy was slightly shocked, he had never really looked into her eyes before, and they were just as beautiful as his fukutaicho had led him to believe. When she looked at him it was as if, she could see right through him, see every moment of happiness, every moment of depression, embarrassment, and yet it was as if she was looking past those things…

"Well then, taicho, I'm actually glad I found you, Ukitake-taicho asked me to give you these forms." It was then that he noticed that she had been clutching a small stack of papers to her chest.

"Ah, right, thanks Kuchiki."

"Please, it was no trouble. Oh, and I almost forgot, Ukitake-taicho also asked me to tell you that he had candy and toys for you." Though it was a simple enough statement, and one that a normal person might find quite amusing, it made the small captain shiver.

"Why me…?" He muttered under his breath earning a giggle from the Kuchiki Princess, much to the young Dragon's embarrassment.

"Well it seems I must be going now Hitsugaya-taicho." The petite girl said as she realized she was supposed to meet her brother that afternoon, something about a mission to the living world…

"A-ah, yes. Very well then. Sayonara Kuchiki."

"Rukia."

"Pardon?"

"My name, is Rukia." She seemed to be at conflict with herself when she said this…

"Right, sayonara Rukia." With that they departed. Though Hitsugaya had a feeling this wasn't going to be his last encounter with the Snow Princess Kuchiki Rukia.
