Yellowfang stood up as Fireheart told the Clan he was going back in. "Fireheart?" she rasped, padding closer. The young tom seemed to relax as he saw it was only her. "Yes?" he meowed to her.

"I'm coming with you."

As she spoke the words, Fireheart's expression grew shocked. Cinderpelt padded behind me and sighed. "I'll go. My leg makes me… useless." Yellowfang sighed.

"Stay and protect this Clan after I am gone. No other medicine cat could be better."

Cinderpelt seemed to brighten up at that statement. She padded off again, probably to get some herbs from the supply. Fireheart nodded to Yellowfang, checking she was ready.

On the way, Yellowfang prayed to StarClan that Fireheart could be okay.

The journey wasn't that long, and they were there in no time. Fireheart made a dash for the elder's den, while Yellowfang headed to the Medicine Cat den. The fire was nearly everywhere by the time she had checked the den for stray supplies, and she knew StarClan was beckoning her.

As she lay down, burns scarring her flesh, she remembered a few moments of her life. I killed my own son… I saved ThunderClan many times while healing… I swore to protect them as much as I can… I will watch over the Clans..

Fireheart's flame coloured pelt suddenly sped through the bracken. He began to lick Yellowfang's burned fur rapidly, but Yellowfang told him to stop. She released her faults, and Fireheart sighed. "Safe travels." he whispered in my ear.

Yellowfang's spirit was satisfied. She crawled out of her mangled body and met Raggedstar. "Ragged…?" she purred softly to the tom. "Yellow…" he purred back. Together they padded up the road to StarClan, where she would be welcomed warmly.
