No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
"One good deed is not enough to redeem a man of a lifetime of wickedness."
"Though it seems enough to condemn him."
Minding his own business. Chatting with lobster backs no less. How had he gotten into this conundrum? More precisely, how to get out of it?
Water dripped off his sodden clothing, forming puddles around him. His lips quirked in a grin as he gazed at Elizabeth. Ah, now there was a sight to behold, her wet chemise clinging to her figure.
His mind returned to the task at hand. Escape.
"Finally!"His shackled hands whipped over Elizabeth's head, pulling her closer to him. He rather liked this distraction, but he still needed to escape. Her scent reached his nostrils, a pleasant diversion from his true need. How to prolong it?
But he must escape.
"And my hat please."
He grinned down at her as she furiously pulled his belt around his waist. His one good deed and if this was the punishment, he would do it again.
