Laying on his fouton, staring at the ceiling, Jasper contemplated many things. Some were of importance, others rather trivial. His current train of thought, for example, would fall under the latter. As he scrolled through the mile-long list of songs on his iPod, he couldn't help but be amazed. Times had certainly changed. This pocket-sized device could hold more than some computers, and it wasn't only music, either. Movies, photos, even text documents! It was like a computer itself, only without internet. Now, computers had been a cool enough discovery back when they first came into existence, and the speed with which technology seemed to develop had Jasper both amazed, and concerned.
He selected a song eventually, and shook his head at himself; why on earth was he contemplating an iPod? Were there not more pressing things to consider? Perhaps he should be giving some thought to the ever-nearing wedding between Edward and Bella, and therefor, the following events that would likely be a declaration of war in the eyes of those bloody wolves. They would have to leave Forks, not that that bothered him. Not much, anyway. He didn't care where he was, so long as Alice was with him.
He smiled softly as his thoughts turned to Alice. His beautiful, precious Alice, the one who had brought him here in the first place. The one he would follow anywhere. He lost himself in his thoughts again, mildly surprised that he'd gone this long without one of his family members bursting in on him. Perhaps, he thought, a group had gone hunting. Either way, he wondered how long his privacy would actually last..
