Forever Interesting
As I walked down the hallways of my new school, I thought about my parents and wondered, why did they put me in this school. There was a lot of graffiti on the lockers. As I walked up to my locker, I saw that there was a peace sign on it. I looked over my shoulder. There was a boy behind me. He had brown hair, green eyes, and was shorter than me. I didn't know his name.
When I entered English, I noticed that there was only one seat left, next to the boy. As I walked to the back of the class, I saw his name on his notebook. Kris A. Who spells Kris with a K? Very weird. "Take your seat Mr. Lambert", my teacher Mr. Collins said. "Hi", I mumbled. ''I'm Adam". "Nice to meet you", he said with an attitude. Okay, a little snobby, but I could manage.
'' Hi'' Kris said.'' I don't have a lot of friends so will you be my friend? Oh, and sorry about English Class, before you came in, the teacher got mad at me because I didn't finish my work in time.'' I looked him up and down. At least he apologized. If he would be my friend, he would be anyones. I was a nobody at my New York school. We now live in a medium size apartment in downtown LA. '' Yeah, uh, sure'' I said. At least I have a friend the first day. But he could just want to be my friend for a week and then forget about me. You never know with people.
'' How was your day?…'' my mother asked, like she does everyday after school. ''Pretty good'' I say. ''Pretty good?" she looks at me. " What happened?"
" Nothing really. I made my first friend." I wondered what she would say next. " What's their name?". " Uh, Kris" I say. "Oh, boy or girl?" she asked. "Boy" I said. "Yeah" she said under her breath. What was that supposed to mean?
I wondered.
When I saw Kris the next day, I knew we would be hanging out for awhile. He wouldn't let me out of his sight. He was starting to scare me. What would happen if I didn't want to be his friend anymore? Well, he probably would hate me forever. I am the weird kid. I wear black eyeliner, leather, and anything Goth/Emo I can find. My signature look is black pants, boots, jacket, with a black T-Shirt. Some people make fun of me for it. When they do I think they are jealous.
Kris and I do everything together. We are partners in Science, P.E, English, and Music. We aren't in the same class for Math, History, or Spanish. Kris is kind of bummed about the 3 classes. We have study hall and lunch which take up another 2 hours of the day. During the 2 hours we talked about music, backstories, and other anonyomous things. We are becoming really good friends. I can see this friendship lasting a long time.
