I don't own Doctor Who, Russell T. Davies and the BBC do.
This is kind of my version of the Doctor and Rose's reunion. Not too sure about it. Please R&R. if it gets enough reviews I might rewrite it.
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared. One Republic, Stop and Stare
That line inspired the beginning of this fic. I was listening to the song at the time and then the whole thing kind of went from there.
She felt the fear rising in her chest. Terror, that's what this was. She needed him, he had to come to her.
"Doctor!" She yelled desperately, but she knew it was no use, she was trapped here, without him.
And now she was going to die here. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. I'm ready. She kept telling herself that, but she wasn't, not really. People said otherwise, but when confronted with it, everyone was scared when it came to death. No one was ready. She barely felt someone grip her hand in theirs.
"Run!" With that she felt herself pulled down corridors until she saw the blue police box shell of the TARDIS.
That was when she turned to face the person who had taken her hand, the person who had saved her.
"Doctor!" She laughed.
"Hello Rose." He said to her, before breaking into a grin as he unlocked the doors of the TARDIS and gestured for her to step inside.
She did so, and once again, her breath was taken away by the sheer size and magic of the place. The place that had been her home for so long, only to be shattered as the Doctor trapped her in a parallel world for her own good.
She turned to him, her Doctor, one word escaped her lips, "How?"
"I don't quite know the answer to that one. I thought you might know?"
"No, one minute I was being chased by a bloody pterodactyl, the next you took me to the TARDIS. I didn't know you could actually come here, I mean, you said it was-"
"Impossible. It is, but somehow, I'm here. And this time the TARDIS didn't seem to mind. Mind you, she's been through a lot the past year…" He trailed off, stroking the control panel soothingly.
"Um, rewind."
"Oh. Long story. Our old friend, the dashing Captain Jack and Martha Jones and I travelled to the end of the universe. Met a nice lad called Crete, found an old friend turned foe, saved the Earth from the Toclafane . Aged a hundred years. Watched said friend turned foe die, that sort of stuff, nothing I can't handle."
"Martha Jones?" Rose asked frowning.
"Your successor. Of course, she was never as good as you. Although, she did become quite good friends with Will Shakespeare, he seemed to think she was nice. Oh, that reminds me, we may have a run-in with Queen Elizabeth the first at some point. That is, if you're coming with me."
"Is this you inviting me?"
"Might be!" the Doctor told her childishly, grinning like a schoolboy.
"Well, my answer's yes."
"I knew it would be!" He said, pulling her into a hug.
The Doctor and Rose were reunited, neither knew why, but hey, they were going toenjoy it while it lasted.
