A single tear fell down The Doctor's face, but the flames that would soon fully engulf his body fully forced it to evaporate in a heartbeat, or, in The Doctor's case, two.
The Doctor spoke his words quickly. His voice was on the urge of cracking. He hadn't lived for long. But then again, he never did.
As he spoke, The Doctor began to envy human lives. He told some of them about his true age, the age of all his lives, and they gasped in wonder. Little did they know that although he lived for nine hundred years, he had died more than anybody should have to.
"I don't want to go."
And then he died. He died once more. Every spark of The Tenth Doctor was rewritten, flipped around and changed into something new. He burned away as the orangish flames of regeneration began to fade, and The Tenth Doctor was no more. Or was he?
The Tenth Doctor awoke in a seemingly endless white room. In front of him, he saw a white figure, only distinguishable from the rest of the room by the black matter floating around him, which formed the general outline of a man.
"Hello." The man said, his voice echoing throughout his mind.
"Who are you?" The Tenth Doctor asked the man. Words were not enough to explain, so the man showed The Tenth Doctor through images, images that flooded The Doctors mind. Creation, Destruction, Life, Death...this man was everything. Could it be true that this man was…God?
"Why?" The Doctor asked God. It was a question that meant many other questions. He wanted to know why he chose The Doctor. Why he created more than one parallel universe, why God was going to give the option he was going to give The Doctor.
God didn't speak, yet The Doctor somehow knew the option. The option to leave the universe he always lived in, and travel in a different body with a different mind, yet the same soul. It was a thank you for saving the universe, and he only wanted one thing, he wanted to take care of-
"I'll do it." The Doctor said.
More images came into The Doctor's mind. He would become an angel, which were basically the Time Lords of Her universe, of Rose's universe. And his name would be Castiel.
The floor beneath the Once-Tenth-Doctor opened, and he fell into another body, the body of Castiel.
