AN: Uh, anybody think I'm writing too many of these? I'm beginning to worry that it's becoming an obsession. I still don't own the characters, unfortunately.
"You're working too hard."
"Some of us, unlike you, actually care about our education."
"Oh, I care about it, but not to the point where I'd work myself half to death for it."
"I'm just tired, Axel."
"I know, Roxy."
They were sitting in the park not far from where they lived. Axel was leaning against a tree, while Roxas, who was on the verge of falling asleep, was sprawled on the ground, his head in Axel's lap. One hand played with the blond spikes, but Roxas seemed unaware. Leaning down to place a kiss on his lips, Axel realised he had actually fallen asleep.
Not so long ago, Roxas had been uncomfortable with showing their relationship in public – it wasn't generally accepted for two guys to be together. However, the students they spent their time with seemed to be more open-minded, and no-one, as yet, had criticised them. They'd told their friends only a few days ago, and the only comment had come from Demyx.
"We all wondered how long it would take you guys to realise you'd be perfect together."
Axel pondered that remark, while Roxas slept. In his opinion, they were perfect together – he helped Roxas to relax, which was desperately needed, Roxas made him work, which stopped him failing his course. Added to the fact that they made an explosive combination in bed… He grinned. Their neighbours had very quickly tired of hearing them at night, and had frequently complained. This embarrassed Roxas, but Axel took it all in his stride, simply telling them to invest in some soundproofing if they didn't like hearing that other people had a better sex life than they did. So the remark hadn't gone down too well, but nobody had complained since. Smiling, he kissed Roxas again. They really were good together.
AN: Reviews, as ever, are very much appreciated.
