Notes | this is what happens when nicole takes physics during her freshman year of high school and only remembers one law—she writes a fanfic about it. typical. well, it's nice to know what she learns in school is useful for something.

In physics, energy is conserved—it is neither created nor destroyed. Energy can, however, be transferred into different systems. You're probably asking yourself, how does physics work in real life? Well, I'll tell you.

Take Massie Block for example, a fourth grader at Presbyterian Elementary/Middle School. Her daily routine is simple—slamming into lockers—getting called names—being excluded—all applied forces exerted by Ahnna Pincher, the school bully. No one really knows why Ahnna is picking on an innocent girl like Massie; she just thinks Massie is an easy target.
Every day Massie wonders why she is picked on out of everybody else in the school. She tries to fight back but it's no use—Ahnna is going to make her life miserable no matter what she does.
The damage becomes so bad, Massie's parents eventually get involved and she transfers schools. It angers her so much that she left without giving Ahnna a piece of her mind. But Massie makes a promise to herself. She promises at her new school, she is never going to be a little doormat to anyone ever again.

Octavian Country Day. Seventh grade. Massie rules the school with an iron fist.
If the kids at Presbyterian Middle School could see her now, one might say she is an incarnation of Ahnna Pincher. But Massie can't help but think all of this attention is something she really doesn't deserve. After all, she spreads negative vibes down her peers' spines. They only worship her out of fear.
She desperately wants to change her image, but believes that may be a hard thing to shake. Because if she wanted people to take her seriously she had no other choice but to be a bully, right?

Now, I told you earlier that energy cannot be create or destroyed. But it can, however, change form.
Take Layne Abeley for example. At school she is mostly known as the weird girl, but that doesn't faze her one bit. It's who she is; so why go pleasing a bunch of people she's never going to see again after high school.
The eccentric girl is always a target of Massie Block. But whenever Massie tries to insult her, she just smiles and thanks her for sharing her opinion. It doesn't make sense. Why was it that Ahnna always had no remorse for her actions and was able to make Massie cry every day? Yet, Layne Abeley just acts like it doesn't bother her. It seems almost as if she is turning Massie's negative energy into… positive energy.
And do you want to know why else Massie is mad? It's because of the fact that Layne Abeley is able to do something that Massie never did, but should have done. If she hadn't stooped to Ahnna's level, she wouldn't be in a never ending cycle of pessimism.
.
And that, students, is how negative energy is conserved.
Any questions?
