O-Ren was never the remorseful type. If she was, she wouldn't be in this line of work. She never really thought of her victims, but she did think of one. All the time, actually. Beatrix Kiddo. Ever since the Massacre At Two Pines, O-Ren thought about her often and regretted it all. The damage she had done to her former friend had already been done and there was no taking it back. Craning her neck to stretch a kink, the assassin stepped over to her window and watched the snow fall over the Tokyo landscape. "If I could take it back, I would.."

Four Years Earlier.

"It could have been a mistake, Bill. You can't do this... you're beside yourself. If you do this, you'll regret it for the rest of your days and then some." Bill looked over to the young assassin who was O-Ren. His face was hardened with anger, hurt, and vengeance.

"A mistake? Oh that's fucking rich. You cannot possibly try to justify this, O-Ren. She had me thinking she was dead, but come to find out, she's pregnant and getting married to some fucking jerk with a bad haircut. This was no mistake. Don't stand there and tell me, of all people, that this was mistake. Misspelling your name is a mistake, writing the date wrong is a mistake, running away and getting pregnant isn't a fucking mistake."

He poured another glass of Johnny Walker Black and gulped it down. The job was only two hours away and her goal was to try to talk him out of it. Budd and Vernita tried, but they didn't make any progress either. The only one that was all for it, was none other than Elle Driver. Elle had no honor, something O-Ren hated about her. If she wasn't her teammate, O-Ren would have cut her down to her actual size long ago. Turning her back to her boss, she closed her eyes and walked out to an eavesdropping Budd.

"Any luck?"

She shook her head and kept walking forward silently while Budd watched her with clear regret in his eyes. What she was about to do, was something she'd have to answer for in her death. Something she'd regret for as long as she lived.

They all beat the hell out of this woman, Elle doing most of the damage out of clear jealously. Her bitter taunts made it obvious that she held jealously in her heart and delivered it with each kick and punch. Budd did everything he could to avoid her swollen midsection, uppercutting her, sending her to Vernita where she delivered a clean punch to the Bride's cheekbone. The Bride reeled over to O-Ren where she received a gruesome roundhouse to her jaw. The kick sent her crashing to the floor. Throughout the whole ordeal, Beatrix protected her bump more than she protected herself. Her incoherent mumbling made it even harder to finish the job.

"B-Bill... please.." She lied there, sweating, bleeding, shaking, and crying. Her beautiful white gown was stained with her blood and sweat. They all stood around her, staring at the fallen Bride and mother to be. There was no remorse to be found. Beatrix looked into the eyes of each of them and she couldn't find any pity. Hearing footsteps approaching her, she started to breathe heavily. Her labored breaths laced with helpless whimpers. It was at this moment O-Ren shut everything out. That could have been her on that floor, or worse, her own mother. She could hear Bill talking, but it wasn't clear to her. The only words she could remember were, 'Bill... it's your bab-' she was cut off when Bill pulled the trigger and shot her right in the head.

"Forgive me..." She whispered as she shut her window.
