Hi guys, its been awhile. I thought it'd be fitting to write a new story with the new year coming in. AJ Lee is a big hero of mine, and I feel I can express myself through her, so this story is a nice tie between who we are as people and what we deal with. I hope you enjoy, this is a song fic to "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera, a song that means alot to me.

"Look at me you may think you see
Who I really am but you'll never know me
Every day it's as if I play a part
Now I see if I wear a mask
I can fool the world but I cannot fool my heart"

"I have to keep this together. I'm the Divas Champion, not someone who sits pathetically in her locker room crying.."

The petite brunette sits quietly, holding her mouth to keep in the soft sobs that escape her throat. Usually she can keep a straight face, tell a snarky joke here or there, and make someone smile, but when can she smile?

She takes a glance at the wall, sighing at the shattered mess that is her iPhone. All she ever wanted is in the palm of her hand, but its always a curse with success. When you get fame, you get all sides of it, and usually the darker sides eat you from the inside, where you don't even know who you are anymore.

She looks up at the mirror, cringing from her swollen face. This company has made her into this beauty queen, this woman people envy, when not too long ago, she sat at home every night, watching wrestling while her peers lived it up. It sucks living up to the world's expectations, when you don't even think the world of yourself. As her mind races at a million miles a minute, a soft beep clears away those negative thoughts in an instant.

"A.J, dude, you're needed to the Gorilla. You're up next for a promo against the girls. Ready to outshine me: Mr. Pipebomb, Mrs. Pipebomb?"

She smirks through her tears at her shattered phone, happy to have such a great friend like him. She would never inform him that she cries every night from what she sees in the mirror, she wouldn't inform him that she can't read her mentions online, for fear of what name she'd be called next, and she can't inform him that with every waking day, she feels so weak where she could give this all up. But with giving this all up, she's giving up on the people who make her strong.

The people who day in, and day out tell her that she's their reason for living. That she's their reason for embracing who they are, and being unique. She can't give up on that. Of course, success does come with its evils, but it comes with the positive support of people out in this world that are just like her.

A long, exhausted sigh escapes her lips as she stands up, toting her Divas Championship proudly on her tiny shoulder.

"Damn thing is bigger than me, must speak to Big E on destroying this and making one more fit for dwarfs like myself.."

She chuckles into the small room, her sadness still evident in her laughter as she walks towards the door. She pauses as she exits the door, a rush of emotion overcoming her body as she realizes what exactly she's headed out into the arena to do. She's headed out to make history, and to show that women DO and always have had a voice.

"I guess there is a beautiful part of fame..." She breathes in softly, before making her way through those black curtains, introducing herself to the world.

"There's a heart that must be free to fly;

That burns with a need to know the reason why.

Why must we all conceal what we think and how we feel?

Must there be a secret within me I'm forced to hide?

I won't pretend that I'm someone else for all time

When will my reflection show who I am inside?

When will my reflection show who I am inside?"
