Mipha sat at the cooking pot, letting the warmth from the flames run up her arms. Today, the Hylian soldiers were coming for another visit, and she wanted to prepare a meal for them. She was especially looking forward to seeing the smaller Hylian who'd gotten along so well with Sidon on their last visit. For the some strange reason she had felt some sort of connection to him, as if he were really her own brother. He had been so amazed by her healing powers, Mipha began to wonder if he'd tried any recipes that boosted one's health.

'Mipha, Mipha! Daddy says that the Hylians will be here any minute, and you need to come to the throne room.'

Mipha looked over at Sidon. He was beaming, and almost bouncing with energy; she supposed that he was also excited to see his Hylian friend. She gave him a soft smile, before scooping the seafood rice balls from the dish and following him back to their father. She hoped that Link would like them.

. . .

One of the soldiers knocked on Link's door, causing him to snap out of his day dream. He was already fitted into his greaves, like most of the others.

'Master Link, it is about time for us to head toward Zora's domain, should you not be dressed?'

Link let out a weighted sigh, moving his eyes over to his fathers sword hanging on the wall. He knew that he'd have wanted him to carry on without him, but it was so hard to muster up the energy to do anything. His look turned stern.

'Give me a minute, and I'll be ready.'

He stood, grabbing at the greaves.

'A little privacy, please?'

. . .

Mipha, Sidon and their father stood in the throne room, watching the soldiers march across the bridge leading to the domain. Mipha couldn't wipe the smile off her face, as she felt Sidon also fidgeting by her feet.

'Greetings, Hylians! What perfect weather it is for your visit to our fair domain today. Please, do not be afraid to partake in the nourishments that my daughter, Mipha, has prepared for you all.'

Mipha scanned the crowd of Hylians, looking for Link. The longer she searched for him, the more worried she became that something might have happened to him between now and their last visit. But thankfully she heard her fathers voice boom, calling his name. An older, more muscular boy made his way toward her father though, not the small Hylian boy that she had been expecting. He didn't smile as he bowed, offering a bold 'Your majesty.' Mipha looked down at Sidon, who seemed just as bewildered as she was, then moved her gaze back. Link turned his head, meeting Mipha's eyes. His eyebrow raised lightly, the corner of his mouth turning lightly. He definitely had the same face as the Hylian she remembered. A heat moved across Mipha's cheeks, much like the fire had earlier. Why was she getting a funny feeling in her stomach?
