I woke up to a fierce pounding in my head. It was like the worst hangover imaginable, except it didn't cause an urge to vomit, or seem to inhibit me in any way, other than the pain.

"Dear God, what did I do to deserve this?" I groaned out, my hands clutching my skull as I rolled to the side. The pain suddenly stopped as I heard a response.

"You died."

Turning towards the voice, my sight was consumed by the greatest sight my mortal eyes had ever feasted upon. 'Holy shit, those tits are huge.'

"Why thank you."

Shocked, I managed to tear my eyes away from the glorious mountains suspended in my vision and up to the face of the woman who they belonged to. Unfortunately, her face was covered in a soft glow, not allowing me to peek through. Shaking my head I focused myself on the task at hand and spoke.

"Can you read my mind?" I asked her, oddly calm despite the situation.

"I am a God, should I not be able to?" Her voice flowed like silk, wrapping me in its delicate embrace.

"A God huh. So I died and you, what, brought me here for an intellectual conversation?"

"No, though you are quite calm considering what has happened to you."

"Lady, I've been praying for something like this to happen since I was 12."

She giggled, like the gentle tinkling of the softest bells.

"So I suppose you know where this is going then?"

"Reincarnation?"

"Yes, to a world you know quite well, though before the time you know. I will also give you 3 wishes, to use before you go."

"Anything?"

"Yes."

"...Will I retain my memories?"

She laughed at that, like some sort of inside joke.

"Yes you will, and I must say, you are the first person to ask that in quite a while. You also helped me win a bet. So thank you."

"You're welcome… I think I have my wishes."

"Already?"

"Like I said, long time coming. My first wish is to not age past 25. My second wish is to be able to, when I want, stop anyone I want from aging further through touch. My final wish is a system. Cliche, I know, but it has a special place in my heart."

"Interesting. May I ask why you chose these for your wishes?"

"Of course. I want to live a long life, with the possibility to end it, but not alone. I also want to be able to build the strength necessary to survive in whatever world you send me to. These seemed like ideal choices for those criteria."

"I see. Well, the time has come to send you on your way. I only hope we do not see each again too soon. Well, not under the same circumstances."

As she finished speaking she turned and started walking away.

"Wait!" I called towards her back as she got further away.

"What's your name?!"

She paused momentarily, turning her head over her shoulder to glance back at me, allowing me to see her face for the first time as the light faded. She was beautiful.

"My name is Mara," she stated, lip quirking upwards, "Goddess of Love."

As the Goddess turned back and disappeared I froze.

"Skyri-"

The world went black and I knew no more.
