Just a little drabble…
Disclaimer: I don't own the Mortal Instruments. If I did, all would be happy and all that would be contained in the books is Clace, Malec, and Sizzy fluff. I mean, duh, right? :P
Red Hair
Jace had never seen anyone with red hair before her. Sure, he had met many, many people and had gotten… close with many girls, but he had never met anyone with truly red hair.
Firstly, there was the artificial red hair. Those were the girls who thought dying their hair would somehow make them more attractive, or the girls who thought dying their hair would make a rebellious statement. Secondly, there was what the world considered to be red hair, though Jace had never truly understood it. Supposed 'redheads' clearly had hair that was orange, which confused him to no end.
Her hair was a flaming tornado that threatened to burn her and everyone around her down at every single second of the day. Her hair was what had first captivated him. She had hair that was truly red, and he found it hypnotizing. Her emerald green eyes captured his attention too, but with them, he could control himself.
Control was hard, after all. Why did he have the urge to run his fingers through that tangled mob of curls piled on her head?
It was true, Clary had truly red hair. It was true, Jace found himself constantly staring at the mesmerizing flames. It was true, he wanted nothing more than to be with this girl. He knew it would never happen though.
After all, she was only mundane.
So, if anyone didn't understand, this was somewhere in the time frame of City of Bones. Also, to the people taking the time to read this A/N, I'd like some feedback in the reviews. I'm only dabbling in the MI fandom, but am considering taking up writing a story for MI after I finish a few of my ones in the Maximum Ride realm.
So, please, if you could, review with your thoughts and maybe check out my other MI oneshot titled 'Counting'.
Thanks all,
~Cake.
