Hi guys :) This is my first time writing Dramione :) It really is nothing much, I was just doing a sort of trial with it. Hope you like it, sorry it's so short!

Disclaimer: No.

It was there.

He wasn't sure how he knew, but there was something that was telling him it was definitely there.

He looked at her from across the room. She was the same bushy haired girl he met on the Hogwarts Express 8 years ago. But yet, she was an entirely different person. She looked tired, to say the least. She experienced the worst things imaginable at such a young age.

Just like him.

Despite how tired and forlorn she looked, he still found her beautiful. She was beautiful but real - Wise yet so innocent. She wasn't like any other girl he had come across. She was strong yet so broken.

And he was in love with her.

He denied this fact for so long. She was the girl he had insulted, bullied, watched being tortured in his own house – the one he owed his life to. If it weren't for her, he wasn't sure if he'd be alive. She was his beacon of hope during the war. Despite all the bad that was happening, he had one thing to look forward to when it was all over – seeing her face again.

She didn't know that. She would never know that. He loved her, which was certain. But he knew she would never return the feeling. She's too pure to be tainted, he thought as the wind blew the hair out of her face. I don't deserve her.

But he had hope. Hope that one day she would let him in her life. Hope that one day she would treat him like everyone else.

Hope that she would fall in love with him, as he with her.

What he didn't know was that every day, she was already falling in love with him, bit by bit.

Their love was skinny. Thin. Barely there. But still there all the same.

And only time will allow it to blossom into something more.
