A/N: Hello! I've been looking forward to Frozen for so long, and I'm so glad it's out! I really enjoyed it and think that if you haven't seen it yet you really should if you can :)

Elsa collapsed on the floor, her head resting between her hands as she let a low sob escape her lips. The only sounds she could hear was the crackling of the growing icicles on the walls and the howling of the wind blowing through the palace of ice that she had created. "You should've stayed away..." She said, voice cracking as whispered those words. Elsa raised her head slightly, just enough to peek out over her arms.

She was talking about Anna. As she so often found herself doing, or at least thinking of during the nights when she felt the familiar loneliness. Elsa had always been used to being alone and being kept away from view, ever since the night she had almost killed her little sister. But never how she realized how much she would miss the occasional knock on the door from Anna, sometimes asking if she was alright.

Slowly and regally she stood, looking around her. Her gaze rested on the walls. The once beautiful palace of ice and snow was now covered in stalagmites and stalactites made of ice. The once shimmering snow had turned dark and lacked it's usual luster and light. From the outside the palace seemed imposing, intimidating, and frightening. Elsa guessed it only fit her title as the Snow Queen.

She shut her eyes. Anger and frustration rose within her. If only Anna had stayed away the first time and maybe even listened to her back at the ball none of this would have to had happen. Elsa only realized that the sharp points of the icicles had grown once she opened her eyes, the tips going in all directions. She gasped and stepped back, only to feel a painful jab in her back. She turned a little too quickly, her head sliding beneath an icicle. She could feel a few strands of hair get caught and breaking.

Scared, she turned and fled the room, a thin sheet of ice covering the slick floors where she stepped. She ran down the staircase and stopped at the bottom, sitting down again. She was broken. Seeing Anna had been her last straw, and Elsa wasn't sure if she could handle it anymore. As she thought this mist and snow began to swirl around her, reflecting her conflicting emotions inside.

This time she didn't even try to fight the pull of the magic, she let it flow out until there was nothing left.

Maybe she was becoming the monster everyone had claimed her to be.
