Everyone was gathered around Charming and Snow to hear their child's name. "Leopold!" Granny shouted from across lots of curious onlookers. "No, it's Killian Junior!" Hook joked, laughing a little. "Very funny, Hook." Charming responded bluntly. Out of all the shouting voices, one was quiet. Emma stood in the back of the crowd, against the wall, wishing this was the life she had. She had loved her life, of course, but to be supported since the second you were born was something she never had. All she had been her entire life was an orphan.
As she slipped on her red leather jacket and began to head towards the door, Killian looked over at the back wall where she had stood. Noticing she was absent, he scanned the room for her. Over the commotion, Emma silently left without anybody thinking she had- except for Hook.
"Where do you think you're going in a rush?" Hook asked as he opened the diner door. "Just…" Emma paused as she turned towards the voice. "For a walk." Emma eyed him up and down, and then gave a fake smile. "Then I'll come with, it's a crowded deck in there anyway." Emma walked on, saying a silent yes.
As they walked, Killian tried to start conversation. "Well, Swan, where are we headed?" Killian said as he looked over at her. She glanced back at him, "You'll see." Emma smiled genuinely.
"Woods? Again? I've had my fill of searching through these," Killian paused as he brushed his hook against some thorn plants. "It's overgrown since last time I've been here." Emma surveyed the horizon before finding it- the well. "There!" As she ran over, Killian followed.
"A well? You came all this way for a well?" Killian sarcastically asked. "In all fairness, you came too." Emma giggled a little. She didn't wait for a witty side-comment reply, and began to tell its legend. "Legend has it that if you drink water from this well," She paused, looking down. "It will return something of yours that was lost." Emma stared at the leafy forest floor. "Well, one problem Love, we have no cups. And there's no bucket." As they both brainstormed, Emma was just speaking out loud. "As I said, it's overgrown now." Killian didn't want to disappoint her; after all, she had come all this way. For a second chance at something. Second chances were something not to be passed up upon- he had known all too well. Suddenly he had an idea. "This!" Killian reached deep into his pocket and pulled out two coins. He grabbed her hand and put one into it. "Maybe this could work." He paused as they both thought of their wishes.
"Are you ready, Love?" Killian whispered, breaking the silence. "Yeah, I guess." As the coin fell into the well, light magic swelled at the bottom. "I… Think it's… Working." Killian smiled. "What'd you wish for?" Emma asked him. Hook leaned closer, and they could both feel the intensity in the atmosphere Emma stared softly at the pirate, right into his eyes. "Well, why not you tell me your wish first." Killian smiled, as they got even closer. "I think it was for the same thing you did. A second chance at love." Emma replied. Then it happened, a beautiful moment where their lips touched, and light magic was revived into Emma's body. True love's kiss. She didn't want to question what she felt at that moment, though, because right now she was in someone's arms who truly, truly loved her. And she loved him just the same.
