It had been six years after the angels had fallen and the gates to heaven had been closed. Life went on and people stopped worrying. Sam had settled down and now had a wife and two beautiful daughters. Dean had gone on hunting and never stayed in one place two long. He kept the impala spotless and went home to the bunker every once in awhile. It was hard now that everybody he cared about was gone. Not his brother but it still wasn't the same to come home to emptiness. He visited Sammy and his family every month and stopped by if he ever went through. He would always buy his nieces,Charlie and Mary Jo, something in every town he went through. He stopped by one day and as usually Charlie and Mary Jo were happy to see him and so was Emily, Sams wife. He kept a smile on his face and laughed when he was suppose to. Only Sam could see his sadness. They never talked about it. About how Cas became sick after falling and how Dean looked after him to the very last day. Sam always knew his brother had loved the angel and would have sold his soul just to get Cas back for a day. It bothered him how he never talked about it but he knew Dean just couldn't face it after all this time. He watched brother grow old over the years his face consumed by lines of worry and his blonde hair speckle with grey. After about three months of not hearing from him Sam decided to make the Tripp to the old bunker to see if his brother was there. He unlocked the door and stepped into his old home. It smelled of leather and cheap whiskey. He made his way around looking in the kitchen where he found an old container of apple pie next to a bottle of whiskey. The pie was old and Sam began to worry. He made his way to his old room which Dean had taken over after Cas died and didn't find anything. He started the dreadful walk to Deans and Cas's room. He slowly opened the door and looked around,it was the same as it was the day they buried Cas. He saw Cas's old shirt still hung over the chair and running shoes in the corner. He glanced around the room to find everything in perfect order. When he got to the bed he saw what he had already prepared himself for. Silent tears slipped from Sam's eyes and ran down his cheeks. Sam saw Dean laying on his side cradling the trench coat of his beloved.
