Hello! Nothing special about these poems, except for that they are in the Haiku form. I had a sudden burst of inspiration on the way home from Japan, and these poems are the result.

If you know me at all, you can probably guess who they're about. If you don't know me, I'll tell you that the first is about Borus Redrum, and the second about Chris Lightfellow, my two all-time favorite characters from the game.

Erm…I don't own Suikoden. I figure that's fairly obvious.

Anyway, continue on, and let me know what you think!

The Greatest Adversary

Deadly sword raised high.

Armor glinting in sunlight.

Proud swordsman of rage

Eyes ablaze with fire.

Bears down on the enemy.

Fights a worthy fight.

No foe stands a chance.

Not while he owns the battle.

Triumph will be his.

War, his specialty,

But does the hero need more?

Yes, surely he does.

Battle of steel won.

The battle of love remains

The greatest adversary.

Something Missing

Silver maiden sighs.

Sad eyes filled with loneliness.

Breathes a troubled breath.

She wants to find peace,

To fill the void in her heart.

Something is missing.

What, then, does she need?

What could she be seeking?

Surely it's not love…

Always she's alone.

She needs some one's company.

But does she need love?

Soft tears give answers.

A warm embrace awaits her

Once she finds true love.

So, that's it. A little cliché, I know, but Haikus are often prone to that. I consider it a valuable exercise for my writing skills, if nothing else.

Sorry about the titles. They wouldn't stay centered for one reason or another...
