"Gibbs?" Abbey Sciuto ran to Jethro Gibbs as he came out of the elevator and walked into the station.
"Yeah, Abs", He said handing her a Caff-Pow with out breaking his stride.
"Ok, so my mom and dad are going on vacation and they wanted me to take my little sister and she's gonna be coming her any minute because she can't go to my place 'cause the nuns aren't home yet and…." Abbey was starting to ramble, but Gibbs silenced her with lifting his right hand.
"Abbey, I know she's here," Gibbs said very plainly as he sat down in his desk.
"Oh! Well, she can't wait to meet you because I told her so much…" Abbey was interrupted again by Gibbs' hand.
"Abbey, calm down, she's fine." He turned in his chair and started to dial a number.
"Oh…oh! Well, um where is she?" Abby was standing over Gibbs' desk and looked around worriedly.
"She's with Ducky", He had the phone to his ear, pressing it against his shoulder, "Hi, Ducky, Abbey wants to know where Elle is." He listened to Ducky's response, nodded once and hung up.
"She's in Ducky's office." He got up and started walking to the elevator again.
"Where's everyone else? McGee, Tony, Ziva?"
"All downstairs with Ducky and your sister." He said the elevator doors closed as Abbey and Gibbs stepped into it.
"Oh, good...so do they like her?" Abbey said after a beat of silence.
"Actually, I don't know. Why don't you ask them yourself?"
Bing"Woo hoo! I win again," a small laugh was heard with a rustling of something plastic.
"Damn it! This is unfair!" Tony's voice rang with anger.
"Tony, relax. This is just a friendly game of poker." Ziva's voice was heard with a hint of laughter.
"Yeah, but Tony is losing very badly, so I think he can scream and whine like a little girl." McGee laughed heartedly.
"Shut up probie!" Tony yelled as a loud thud hit the table-Tony's hand- and Tony let out a gasp of pain.
Gibbs and Abbey looked at each other as they rounded a corner of the large room. There was the team, sitting around a circular table with cards and poker chips on it. A girl, about the age of fourteen, with dark brown hair and flaming green eyes had her arms in the air waving her hands in the air with her mouth open in a smile. Tony had his head in his hands leaning on the table shaking his head slightly, Ziva sat back and smiled as she folded her arms across her chest. McGee just sat while Ducky laughed and complimented the young girl. Palmer looked up and was the only one that saw that Gibbs and Abbey were on their way over to them.
"Hi Abbey, Gibbs." Palmer said but then his eyes grew wide as he looked at the situation. It's not normal protocol to be sitting around playing poker with a sister of the forensic person in your team. "Oh, uh we were just, um trying to um, make her feel...welcome here?"
"Abbey!" the girl yelled as she ran around the table and hugged Abbey.
"Elle! I missed you so much! I...what's with your hair and your clothing? When I talked to you last you said your hair was purple."
"See that's where you're wrong. I said that the wig was purple. Dad wouldn't let me actually dye it, so I bought a wig from a store." Her and Abbey shared a chuckle as they began to hug again.
"Oh!" Abbey snapped up in shock and pulled away from her sister. "I almost forgot. Elle, this is Gibbs."
