Hinata Hyuuga sat on the park bench, head thrown back, eyes staring up at the sky. It was late. She knew it was. But she didn't want to go home. Not just yet. She didn't want to face her family; the sneers of the branch house, the hatred of the council, the disdain of her sister and hateful words of her father. Besides, she liked the way the night breeze felt against her skin. She liked the way the moon sparkled in the pond before her. She liked the way the moonlight illuminated everything around her. She liked the natural beauty of it all. Here, there were no walls to hold her in; no people to dictate her every move. Here, she was free… even if just for a few hours, before she returned home…she was free. And it felt so good. It felt like a caged bird being set free into the world. She wanted to spread her wings and fly away; soar high over the hills and clouds and never come down again.
"Yes; fly", she whispered.
Fly.
"Break free of their hold."
Fly.
"Cut the chains."
Fly.
"Dance like there's no one watching."
Fly.
"Live life to the fullest."
Fly.
"Live without inhibitions."
Fly.
"No prohibitions."
She closed her eyes and screamed, "I WANT TO FLY!"
