Hero

I absolutely do not own Zelda in any way, and if I ever did, the responsibility would demolish me. It belongs to Nintendo, and the people. Actually, Nintendo.

There are many Heroes, many reincarnations of the same figure who frees the land from evil, many Links. But there is only one Hero of Time. No one knew anything about him. He was virtually a ghost.

He was a legend, a fairytale, someone all of Hyrule wanted to believe in when Ganondorf took over the throne. Of course, everyone knew the prophesy! Not so many believed it. When Hyrule seemed bleak, and your people are attacked by monsters day and night, when you live daily in constant fear for your family and life, how can you believe in fairytales? Reality is so much more important, and hope does seem bleak. But never doubt. One day, after the King of Evil has well rooted his evil magic in the land of Hyrule, a temple will open, a hero shall wake, and peace will start to spread. For the people, who didn't believe, an outcast will be snatched from his normal life and the only friend he has. For Hyrule and its beauty, a boy with mammoth responsibility saddled upon him will venture into places where evil seethes, and his life is in peril.

It's not only about his destiny. He is a true hero. No one knows him, acknowledges him, or respects him. He gives up all shreds of normalcy to shoulder a curse, and defeat evil, no matter the cost to his self.

And who will ever know?

A/N: Would you? Haven't you wondered about this while playing OOt or MM? Trust me, there will be more on this subject; this is just an introduction to my Zelda ideas. Anyways, the Hero of Time is my favourite Hero, 'cause he takes everything so well!

*wake up* "Whoa, it's been 7 years? What?! I caused this whole mess by opening the Doors of Time?! 6 Temples? Danger? No problem, I'll do it!"

To review, or to not review, that is the question. Though there is a whole buncha ethics in that question. Your choice!
