I don't own anything! Except my brain, I own that.
"So buddy, I'm here again. Sorry I took so long since the last time."
A person – male, as far as could be told by the voice – clothed in black hoodie, dark purple baggy pants and dirty heavy boots was standing near the place where yellow flowers bloomed on that cursed cliff, Zack's grave.
The hood was covering his head and it was large enough to hide the upper part of his face, so his hair and eyes were hidden.
He crouched down, chuckling softly. "You got it nice in here; the flowers weren't here the last time. It was Cloud, wasn't it? I brought you some too – and you'd better appreciate them! I searched so long for the ones that would fit you."
He sighed and sat down, crossing his legs. "I wonder... if you're happy in there with your flower girl and Angeal. I wonder... if you miss me."
A gentle blow of wind played with the flowers. To the man, it felt like a gentle caress on his skin.
"Man, I wish I had told you."
Bare fingers were digging in the soil, making a small pit. It was hard and painful, because the ground was dry and solid, but they didn't stop until the hole was large and deep enough.
Cloud got off Fenrir not far from the cliff. He saw a person standing there and that took him aback, making him cautious.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
The man turned to Cloud and started walking... but brushed past him without a word.
That was the moment when the blonde warrior saw a bunch of deeply blue flowers planted right in the middle of yellow once. Blue like Zack's eyes.
"Wait! Who are you?"
He ran after the man, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Please, tell me."
The man turned to Cloud with a soft smile, a single tear trickling down his cheek.
"Zack's friend."
Sounded the reply before he took Cloud's hand to get it off his shoulder and with that he left.
Cloud went to the grave, seeing a small paper attached to one of the new flower by a thread. He crouched down to take a look at it.
Not even after so many years can I say it. Just wait for me in the Lifestream, okay?
Yours
Kunsel
