Harry Potter and the Lesson of Secrets

Harry Potter was a 30 year old professor at Hogwarts, a boarding school in London. All the students aspired to be just like Harry. Since Harry attended Hogwarts he was quite known by the students for his courage and academic abilities. Harry told the students that in order to be just like him they would need to gain certain qualities. His student Colin Creevey asked how he could be like Harry. Harry replied "You would need to be smart, brave, and resourceful, but don't concentrate on being like me concentrate on being the best version of yourself." In order to gain the attention of his students Harry decided to give them a scenario in order to better understand historical events.

Harry believed the best way to learn was by living through a scenario. He assigned certain students to be soldiers and some students to be the color yellow but the majority of the class was the color red. The soldiers were given an envelope, the soldier announced to the class: "If you are the color yellow you must at all times be wearing the color yellow and you will also have a curfew of 9pm every night." The yellow colored students looked confused and scared. A couple minutes later the yellow students receive another message from the soldier, the soldier says "If you are a yellow colored student you are coming with us to a camp." The yellow colored students didn't know what to think. The yellow colored students were cramped in a tiny train which was drawn on the floor. When they arrived at the camp the soldier informed them that they were going to be working. At the camp the yellow colored students worked very hard. The conditions were terrible they lived in barracks and were given no human decency. The yellow colored students were informed that they would be killed once they were no longer able to work or if they were in anyway defiant. Harry then told his students that this was a simulation of a real life event in history. Harry asked the students to think of what event this activity could have represented.

The students guessed several things and supported their story with evidence. Harry was very proud of his students for grasping the concept of the lesson. As a reward Harry allowed his students to go out early for recess as many of them wanted to play Quidditch. Colin challenged Harry; he told him that he could take him any day. Harry just laughed and accepted the challenge.
