So this is based on a super brilliant song called Sorry and I think (I think) it's by Maria Mena? But I'm not entirely sure. Fabulous song, you should totally check it out. And review please. And don't favorite if you're not going to review it because you obviously don't like it enough to comment. (Sorry it's just a pet peeve of mine. :D)

She falls in love like the tears drip from her lashes

So many at first that she thinks she just may drown

Until they fade away into mascara stains on her cheeks

Covered by the caked up second skin she clings onto

---

And she's reaching for the stars again

The unreachable blinking stars and she thinks she'd be okay if she could just hold one

She's not dressed for the weather

Her cashmere v-neck isn't meant to fight icy nights

And the rips in her faded jeans let the wind cut through her

Flip flops don't protect her from much of anything

But she doesn't think she needs much protecting anyways

---

The playground is only illuminated by the moonlight

And the swing creaks creaks creaks as she sways back and forth

She doesn't go for height anymore

She knows now that she'll never be able to touch the sky

---

She knows she must be breaking when none of it comforts her anymore

Not the swings or the slide or the tunnel

And she's too tall to climb any of it anymore

She wishes that the night would stop suffocating her

She wishes she wasn't alone

---

She knows she shouldn't

He told her

He fucking told her that he couldn't love her

But she calls him anyways

He tells her that's he's on his way

Shouldn't victory taste sweeter than this?

---

The swing creaks creaks creaks as she sways back and forth

She watches as he walks towards her

His curls giving a halo effect in the moonlight

She really wishes he could be her angel

Because she doesn't think she'd need to touch the sky anymore

---

He doesn't talk

Just takes the swing next to her

And they creak creak creak together

Her tears slip down her cheek and onto the steel

She wonders if one day enough of her tears will have fallen here to make it turn into rust

Ashes to ashes

She thinks she'll crack long before the metal

---

"I need you"

It's a whisper

And his eyes close tighter

But she walks over to him and throws her lips onto his

Because she only knows how to self destruct

---

He grabs her wrists

"I'm sorry"

He's sorry he can't love her

Sorry that she can't be the girl

The girl with neon sunglasses

And shirts with funny sayings

She can't be the girl he fell in love with

Her curly haired best friend

The one that lays in a grave

---

He kisses her forehead and leaves

They always leave her, now don't they?

( Come back Caity, we need you )
